I attended a 3 day Senior day camp in Damascus,Md. It was amazing with all the activities ,catered lunches,including a Hawaii luau with the whole works. Unbelievable event.. but most of all , Kathleen Lieberson who made all of the seniors young again. She was the greatest director who did the most outstanding event. This was the very best event that I ever experience. Meeting Katherine Richards was there to help make smiles through the three days. This Damascus center is far better place in Montgomery County and even though I live in Ashton,Md I will join this recreational place. Thank you for providing this memorial event for us seniors.

We attended the Winter Solstice Campfire event on 12/21/17 and my son and his friend had a wonderful time. Julie lead us through a couple small craft activities and the kids loved roasting marshmallows on the campfire. Took about 1.5 hours.

Well done managing the pools under the coronavirus. Si glad I had a place to swim. Thank you.

Bilingual people and excellent customer service.

I was trying to figure out why certain people got in classes and others got wait listed and I got an answer not the one I expected but an answer nonetheless not to my saysfaction but at least they tried. Thanks

extremely difficult to get ahold of people by phone

The staff member who helped me was superb. Knowledgeable friendly and very helpful. But as a retiree w moco, there should be a reduced rate to purchase a pass and to be able to use for anyone in your family. Like getting a guest pass. Esp for the use of only a limited time. Come on Montgomery county.

Most poorly managed/no motivation to help county residence when they call in. What a waist of tax payer money on these people. I called to get some simple information on men's softball. The first time I called, the person switched me to mailbox to leave a message that just beeped. The second time I called, the next person that answered, told me to "hold on". After six minutes on hold, I hung up. The third time I called, no one would pick up and the auto answerer switched me to another general mailbox to leave a message. The auto mailbox said, "sorry but you cant leave a message because the mailbox is full and wont accept any more messages". What a complete mismanaged mess...….Unfortunately they have no competition so you cant go anywhere else.

Can I give no star?! Spent $550 for an annual swim pass and was told babysitter could use it to take my kids, then was told otherwise at the pool. I have memberships for the zoo and aquarium both allow flexibility for family care taker. Not with MC recreation, no temporary pass, not transferable, not refundable. The most family unfriendly policy! Called customer service who had no customer service skill whatsoever only to dump me to a different department that didn’t pick up the phone. Never again will I spend this kind of money on county services. Facilities are otherwise fine, but it’s not worth the frustration that you’ll certainly endure!!!

Really disappointed. Why this office send us a letter with phone number on it and I call them they don't have solution or just the operator pass to another numbers and the same thing. Registration services doesn't answer either. I left a message a weeks ago and no call backs.

The only question I have for this office is why are they in office? That’s all, this latina girl in front desk she helped one of senior citizen she got so tired and she didn’t want help the rest of us in line she’s so disrespectful she didn’t even apologize she just said I’m out and walk off with her food seriously 😒

I have sent multiple emails and phone calls trying to talk to someone at this department about the care and trash collection of my local park. No one responds.

Poorly managed. They cancel classes without notifying attendees.

Awful experience registering for fall classes this year.
