I am beyond grateful for the care provided by Dr. Dicello and all the team members at Muddy Branch Veterinary Center. What began as a vet visit prompted by strange new symptoms in my cat after moving to Maryland turned out to be a pivotal moment for my family.

The vet at Muddy Branch Veterinary Center had a query that no other specialist or medical provider had thought to ask in the time of my entire family’s ongoing new health struggles: What is your home environment like? This question led me to have our air in my apartment tested, which came as a result of Dr. Dicello's astute observation and concern for our well-being, which single-handedly probably saved my cats’ and my own life (I had been experiencing rapidly worsening health issues since moving into this apartment, and the revelation of elevated levels of molds, including Stachybotrys, led me to getting proper diagnostic testing for myself which revealed various mycotoxins in my body as well as underscored the urgency of our situation)

Their proactive approach and unwavering support throughout this ordeal were truly remarkable. Not only did they provide exceptional care for our pets, but they also went above and beyond to make sure all feel welcome in their office! My daughter was able to color while she waited, and they even offered her a coloring book for taking to go.

I just truly cannot recommend Muddy Branch Veterinary Center highly enough. Their dedication to their patients' well-being extends far beyond the clinic walls, and I am forever grateful for their role in safeguarding the health of my pets ❤❤❤

Yesterday was our first puppy visit for Biscuit.
The whole staff was very friendly and welcoming. The office was very clean which was our first sign we picked the right place.
Dr Palm was exceptional....her love for dogs and her enthusiasm for our little guy was so appreciated and she explained so much to us about what to expect as new puppy owners.
So glad we picked this practice.

Our pets have been patients here for a couple years. Most recently, we adopted a puppy and also had two emergent issues with a cat and our other dog. In all three cases, we had a very positive experience with the vet and techs at Muddy Branch. We were able to be seen quickly for the emergent issues, and our puppy’s first visit at the vet was also a smooth appointment. We also never have to wait long when we arrive for an appt. They always do their best to ensure our pets are comfortable. My dogs are both nervous so I also do my part to bring them treats and make them feel safe so it’s an all around positive experience. The best was when they provided spray cheese for our nervous dog - she absolutely loved it! Please keep providing ample opportunities for positive experiences, even though that takes extra time. Pups like mine need that extra patience and care.

Dr. Lisa and Jennifer Bila are the best! Their compassion, sensitivity, knowledge, caring and love is priceless. I can’t thank them enough for the care they showed us and Lulu. Also, the staff is amazing, highly recommend this practice.

Amazing staff! Reception, vet tech, and vet were super nice and went out of their way to make my dog comfortable. They were practical when it came to treatment options and didn't push spending more on unnecessary tests/meds. They even gave me a follow up call to make sure the treatment was working. I highly recommend this office!

Kind, caring, and professional staff that are transparent and upfront about their entire process. You will never get a surprise bill or charge and you can feel their love for helping your pet. Excellent customer service.

Dr Owens was absolutely phenomenal! I really appreciate how attentive and caring she was. She really took her time to get to know the issues and concerns we had and addressed each one. Absolutely WONDERFUL! Everyone at Muddy Branch Vet Center was caring and kind - the receptionist, the vet tech PJ, and the amazing Dr. Owens. This was the first time that we've used their services, and they were able to get our cat, Tux, an appointment for the very next day. After Tux's brother, Coco, passed away in January, we were very nervous to try yet another vet. All of the previous vets that we took Coco to were terrible. We feel so blessed to have found Dr. Owens and the team at Muddy Branch because we didn't want Tux to receive the horrible care Coco had to endure from other vets. I only wish we had found this office sooner!

Rehabilitation - pets can truly benefit from it (for various reasons, as people do), and I had the great good fortune to get the highly recommended rehab and recovery services at MBVC for my 11-year-old sheltie, Gabriel (who, when only 3 years old, was diagnosed with a degenerative joint disease).

Gabriel had a severe limp and very tight tendons, due in part to a large tumor that had developed under his front left armpit. He was swelled with osteoarthritis. That was April 2022. Now Gabriel - after a thorough initial assessment and development of his own customized rehabilitation program including targeted exercises/stretching, ultra-sound, laser therapy, hydrotherapy, surgery in August to remove the tumor, and additional post-surgery rehab - is a new dog - his old self - dropped a few pounds (physically) and a few years (psychologically). The. Best. Christmas. Ever.

Remarkable is the only word that truly describes his transformation. Grateful is only one of many words to describe my admiration and appreciation for Katie (Gabriel's rehab coach and counselor), and Dr. Lisa Challberg (Gabriel's rehab vet).

Given Gabriel's disease, he will require "maintenance" rehab which he gladly looks forward to getting from his MBVC team for years to come. Gabriel's situation is one of those exceptions that proves the rule. Rehabilitation, one-time or several, short- or long-term, for any given injury or issue, can restore and reinvigorate your precious one - and they can't do it by themselves. So, if your sweet love needs it, I strongly encourage you to give them the gift of rehab from MBVC - it will be the best investment you'll ever make in the care and comfort of your best friend!

Incredible vet practice all around. I've been bringing my dogs since 2015 and have always had a positive experience. These folks work so hard to provide the best care possible for their patients and work collaboratively with pet parents to make sure that everyone is on board with the treatment plan and that together we are making the best decisions for our pets. Even in the height of the pandemic when they were doing curbside appointments only, this practice kept the highest level of care and communicated very well with pet parents. Everyone at the practice is phenomenal, especially Dr. Katz and Dr. Chalberg. Katie has stood out as an incredible tech who provides such warm and loving care, especially to my dog with a history of trauma and anxiety. Amy at the front desk communicates incredibly efficiently and always with kindness. Thank you for all you do for our pups!

I just recently switched to this vet after one too many mediocre attempts at addressing my concerns for my cat, at the last place I was going. Here at Muddy Branch, not only do they all visibly have affection for the critters they see, but they have plans ahead of time to make sure your animal has a good experience too. Example: on the form you fill out ahead of time, asking questions if to address if the animal needs a minor sedation so they are less anxious and have a more positive experience.

The vets have either called or come out (following covid masks and distancing) to address any issues and concerns I've had. They address the concerns to a T; I feel sure that my kitty receives the best care here and that she will be as healthy as can be under their guidance.

It was our first time when we went to Muddy branch vet's office a week ago. We need a medical certificate for our international travel. When walked the ladies in the front greeted us warmly. They were all really friendly and the waiting area was really cozy and lots of lights. They called us in and we met sweet Laura, my dog Bianca love her right away! Even Bianca was really nervous (new people) but Laura was really great on what she does! Dr. Katz was really great and we love him! They were very thorough on all the papers that we need for travel. And then there's Katie, she is the one who take care of medical certificate for your pet. Katie was really great! She was very knowledgeable on what she does. I have no problem understanding because she would explain everything clearly to you. Everyone in Muddy branch vet are very warm,kind, friendly and passionate on their jobs. Thanks so much!

I take both my huskies Ace and Cali to this dr, and our cat. They’re always very kind to my dogs and answer my frantic calls whenever something comes up.

The doctors are knowledgeable, forthcoming, and extremely caring (and quite funny as well - always putting words in my sassy dog’s mouth😂), and the reception staff is helpful and multitasks well. My little one has gotten to know Dr. Katz and Dr. Challberg and several lovely vet techs.

PS- Solid additional services are offered here as well, like grooming (the best!) and acupuncture. (Yes, I know how silly acupuncture on a dog sounds, but my limping 14-yr-old who used to fall over outside doing his business now frolics like he’s 10 again, so... win!)

I highly recommend MBVC for your vet needs! We recently moved overseas from Gaithersburg, and the international pet import requirements were daunting. Jennifer was a huge help answering questions and ensuring our dog was set for successful travel and clearing customs. She truly went above and beyond! Dr. Corrigan was wonderful and always provided excellent care to our little guy. Thank you!

Update 09\06\23: Once again I am completely astounded by the amazing group of people at Muddy Branch veterinary center. This time we saw Dr Olcott for a general annual checkup and he immediately impressed me with his friendly and caring attitude. And once again every single person who worked there had a smile on their face and was friendly responsive and caring. This is truly a veterinary center worth traveling a distance for. Thank you again, everyone at muddy Branch veterinary center, for taking such great care of our 18-year-old Bichon Lili.

Update 12\27\22: Not only is Dr Katz a great veterinarian but his supportive and incredibly friendly staff are also absolutely spectacular. The friendly woman who answered the phone (I'm sorry I forgot your name) was so thorough discussing Lili's medications. She showed a genuine care about our dog and wanted to ensure that she was getting the best treatment possible. Without a doubt not only is Dr Katz the best veterinarian we have ever seen in our entire lives but his entire staff of friendly, kind and caring people are clearly so far above any competitors that I can never imagine going anywhere else ever again.

Everybody at the vet was fantastic for the first time ever our dog Lili was calm and relaxed during a vet appointment. They really took the time to talk to us and get a good understanding of what was going on with our elderly dog. All the staff was happy to assist us with all our questions and very kind to Lili. After Lili's extensive dental work Dr. Katz called us late in the evening to make sure she was recovering well. He even came in on Saturday when he was not scheduled so we could bring her in for a quick follow-up to make sure all was going well with her recovery. Muddy Branch Veterinary Center is simply the best vet we have ever been to.

We have taken our dog Milo to muddy branch since he was a puppy. They actually diagnosed Milo right away on his first visit while out other vet failed at doing so. We absolutely love the staff at Muddy Branch. Super nice and always understanding. They always go above and beyond to help. Milo has seen a few doctors at muddy branch but we have recently seen Dr. Owens and we are SO HAPPY to call her Milo’s vet. She is amazing. Supper attentive, gives a lot of information and explanation of what is going on with Milo. We specially love that she actually takes her time with him and us. Couldn’t recommend muddy branch and Dr. Owens more !

Dr Owens and staff are absolutely incredible. My dog gets nervous at the vet and he felt quite comfortable here. From the friendly greetings at the front desk, to Dr Owens taking her time assessing our questions and concerns, we had such an amazing experience!!!

Been going here since 1995. Dr. Katz has always been great. I had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Owens recently under less than ideal conditions. She's nothing short of amazing! Comforting and caring toward my suck pup. Will definitely see her again.

The front desk staff and techs are always so friendly. You won't be upset going here.
