This is quite a fun ride!
The ride takes is 15 minutes long and takes you through the park. There is even a small bridge (trestle) it goes over and a mini dark tunnel towards the end. Those two things are sure to make the ride enjoyable for your kids.

Tickets are $3.50 and is free for children under 2.

Such a great experience for your little ones even though the trail could use a little more excitement and the wheels on the train need some WD-40 because they were super squeaky. It’s also super inexpensive which is great.

This is a perfect outing for young kids. The train ride is about 10 minutes and brings you through forest, meadows, and by the lake in Wheaton Regional. Train lovers will be treated to a few "road" crossings, a bridge, and a short tunnel at the end. The carousel is also a lot of fun, though I get motion sick pretty easily. Both attractions are close to parking. You can buy tickets online, which is great because you get priority seating and don't have to wait in lines. Come in the morning when it's not hot and the crowds are smaller.

I haven't been to this park in years. We took our granddaughter there to go for a ride on the train and the carousel. She had a blast and was all smiles. She loved it so much she wanted to ride the train a second time. So we did! She definitely gives it 2 thumbs up. This is a great family day excursion. Throw in a picnic lunch and it's a homerun.

We took our toddler daughter to the Halloween eye-spy train ride. Tickets included a carousel ride and they were both super fun! We will definitely be bringing her back!

For $2.50 two of us enjoy a nice train ride. Great activity for toddlers, the train takes off every 15 minutes. In the Saturday that we visited there was lot of people, but we didn't have to wait long to buy tickets or to get ing line to board the train. This is an activity that we will definitely do again.

The train was the best part of our visit because my sons really loved it. They also loved sliding while seated on box-torn-papers on the hill-like mound. And the sand pit of course!!!

Buy the train tickets online to save the wait. The pandemic means they operate at 25% capacity.
My daughter loves both of these.

The train and carousel is so great. My son always loves it. One suggestion, the train should have like a recorded informational or something to excite the riders more... Or a bit more interaction from the conductors. The first time I rode the train the conductor told jokes or explained what we were seeing whilst on the train.

Kids LOVED the train ride!!

TIP: Check their Facebook page to make sure the train is running if there has been any precipitation in the previous few days.

When we got to the park around 1pm last Sunday, it hadn't rained in about 48 hours, but the tracks were still too wet for the train to run safely. We were told that they would reassess every couple hours...

Around 4 pm, I decided to buy train tickets in case it did run, because the line was empty. The attendee sold me tickets, but made it clear that there was no guarantee that the train would run that day... About 10 minutes later, we were enjoying the first train ride of the day! By the time we returned to the "station," there was a SUPER long ticket line, as well as a crazy long wait time to actually board the train... Plan ahead & buy tickets in advance if possible!

It is our favorite place to go to keep our kids busy and tired. We loved the rides. You can buy your tickets for train and carousel at the park in case you forgot to buy it online. You can also visit the playground near by if you dont want to spend money on the rides

Lovely park. No need to score a picnic table, just spread a blanket under the trees. Huge play area near the carousel. Both the train and carousel are great, but be sure to check the website or Twitter to see if they are running on any given day.

Very nice playground for children of all ages. Plenty of space to run around and there are grills for cooking out. The rides are decently priced and you get a nice tour of the park. The trails are nice either for walking, jogging or riding a bicycle. Because of the size of the playground, keeping an eye on your children can get a bit challenging-an fyi. Other than that, great place to spend a day and wear the kids out! Lol!

My son loves riding on this train. He was so excited to be on it and he was staring around at the trees and the train tracks.
Try to get your tickets online before hand if you can. There is a separate line for online ticket holders and you can skip to the front!

Great atmosphere for families and children. My husband and I brought the kids here last weekend of their Halloween train ride and really enjoyed our time despite the chilly weather. The staff here are very tentative and helpful.

As a parent with small children this was a great ride. It is long enough to not be just a circle ride. It goes across crossings and a trestle bridge, through tall trees and meadows. The line was never too long on a busy summer Sunday afternoon.
