Dale's Seafood of Whiteville

Was riding through Whiteville and decided I wanted popcorn shrimp for lunch. Did not disappoint. For $12.75 I got a full salad bar plus my double order of fried shrimp. Coleslaw was sweet with a nice flavor profile.
My waitress was very friendly and refilled my water when it was halfway everytime even though she had many other tables. Definitely a hidden gem in North Carolina. 5 star review

Steamed oysters are always great at Dale's Seafood. One half oyster roast was a good size dish for my wife and I to share. We also shared a senior flounder.

Foods always great, it is a bit more in price these days but it is worth it..The waitress's are always very nice as well as busy! So honestly sometimes you do have to be patient with them as they are trying to take care of all their customers..it's a great place to have a nice sit down meal with whomever and really enjoy the food, environment and conversation.

Ever since I met my wife who is from this area we have been coming to the two Dale's locations.

We just recently stopped in with the family on a Saturday afternoon and the wait was non-existent. We put two tables together and the staff was real nice about accommodating 10 of us.

The service was quick and friendly. I don't think there were any mistakes for the whole table.

I ordered a small seafood platter and it is two meals worth of food. The servings here will make you a big ole' boy. I'm not complaining though.

The hush puppies are heavenly and the sweet tea is truly southern. I tend to go for half and half so I can stave off diabetes. The deviled crabs are superstars BTW. You should get at least one.

Prices are not bad considering you will leave with a big full belly. Bathrooms are clean and we'll stocked and parking is plentiful outside. This is a nice off the beaten gem.

Dale's is a family friendly restaurant. With a great salad bar and family style food. They have a country fixin' lunch menu and more of a seafood menu for the evenings and weekends.

This was my first visit, but it won't be my last. The food and service was wonderful. I had the beef tips/baked 🥔. Both were excellent. We àre moving to the area, and are looking forward to many meals here.

Very good food! I got the white fish and it was delicious. My husband got a seafood platter and loved it. Portions are huge...we left with enough leftovers for another meal. Staff was friendly.

Random Tuesday, and still absolutely delicious. Food came out quickly, crispy and hot. Scallops were tender and sweet - perfectly fried. Breading was light and crisp. Everything was fantastic, down to the fries. Skip the lines on the coast, and get fish just as fresh!

Our waitress was leaving after we got our drinks and said another lady would be taking over her table. The 1st waitress was good, but the one taking her place NEVER came to see if we needed anything. Yes I will be back. Service on a normal basis is real good.

The food was delicious. The service was great. The servers and the atmosphere was very nice.

I love going to Dale Seafood in Whiteville North Carolina. Mainly concerned this last visit was the food was not as consistent as has been before. They were hardly any shrimp and the oysters were very undercooked. But other than that great atmosphere great people working there and just was really surprised that I got a platter I wasn't satisfied at this time but highly recommended

Absolutely love the oysters. This is the go to spot when my daughter & I want roasted oysters. Go & you will not regret it

Food was really good. Fried shrimp, cold boiled shrimp scallops and good salad bar. Now if you want hushpuppies @ no charge you have to ask for them. Now if your wait staff thinks about it they will bring you some. 🤔

If your looking for some Good Seafood you found the Place.!
I just moved up to Chadbourn and have ate there once before 4 years ago. It's still Great Food and you get alot for your Money here.
Most places come out with Just a few Shrimp, Small piece of Flounder and whatever else you order.
Everything I orderd came out piping hot unlike most places where it's loop warm.
Also come out piled up and is good to the Last Bite...

When I placed the order for one deluxe seafood plate with sweet potatoe Fries and, a large fish plate with sweet potatoes fries my total was $41.63 this order was for a 76 year old female. That when she arrived home all she had on her plate was one fish and a bunch of sweet potato fries, nothing else. She called her daughter And she called the dales seafood and explained the situation to no avail. I will never refer anybody to order from that place the dales seafood at lake Waccamaw is the best with excellent help and better tasting food. I will never in life order anything from the Whiteville dale’s seafood restaurant nor will I recommend anyone there. That’s facts. Poor customer service and it was said on the phone that she should have checked her food before leaving the restaurant. Who gonna check their food that is all ready bagged up. It should have been correct from the beginning, I understand error but this was very unprofessional and unethical. If I could give a true star rate it would be ZERO. Now on this only day it was only minutes after I made this post that I personally received a phone call from the owner apologizing for what took place and was willing to make it right and offered to bring the completed order out to us, or to let him know when I would love for him to redo our order. I went weeks later and I called the owner to let him know I would be in the Whiteville area and he ask what would be a good time. He asked for my order I give it to him and picked the food up at 1:00. I went and delivered that fresh hot deluxe fish plate to that 76 year old lady she was shock and very happy and began to enjoy her food with such happiness and I enjoyed my deluxe seafood platter also. And above all it was paid for by the owner. We were very well pleased with it all, and when I went in the restaurant they were very pleasing and pleasant today. Now with all being corrected I would recommend visiting the dales seafood restaurant in Whiteville rating would now be a complete 5 star rating.

Salad bar can be ordered with meals.
I go for the senior citizen specials and they give me plenty!
I had fried scallops and oysters on my last visit and it had slaw and hush puppies and you just can't find any better quality and quantity for the price!
You can't find any better!

Been here twice now and both times we had the same level of experience. Jess took amazing care of us the first time, and a week later remembered us and took care of us just as well the second time! Top level service, complete willingness to accommodate dietary restrictions for gluten sensitivity for one member of our family, worked with children large and small! Food was always cooked to perfection and very tasty! We will be back, and highly recommend requesting Jess as your server! And their hush puppies are delicious!
