After getting nowhere with our current realtor and not knowing the area very well, I decided to reach out to Lake Realty in hopes they would be able to provide more insight into condos on Lake Norman. My husband and I were looking for a second property to rent out to vacationers. We had been told by previous realtors that Cornelius and Mooresville did not allow vacation rentals.

Lynn Priestley was quick to respond that same evening. That coming weekend she lined up some condos to look at based on a list I provided her, but none panned out. But Lynn had done her homework prior to meeting with us. She found a condo complex in Cornelius that did still allow rentals due to a grandfather clause and that happened to have two units up for sale. Although a bit over our price range, we decided to take a look. Turned out to be a perfect location, 3 bedroom, ground floor unit and although not mentioned in the original listing, came fully furnished (huge bonus worth the added cost). It was turnkey ready for renters.

Thanks to Lynn going that extra mile and doing the added research we now have a Haborside property we can use for family vacations and that, from the looks of it, will pay for itself! Our closing was Oct 31 and so far we are pretty much booked right through until April!

Tracy Hillier was absolutely phenomenal. She wasn't pushy on forcing homes on us. She drove to over 20 homes all over Lincoln and Gaston County to meet up with us. We presented her with what we wanted and over the next month we kept chipping away at it until the right one came along. Any questions we had she would have an answer waiting or would have one in a very short amount of time. When the time comes to possibly make a move again, I pray she is still with the agency. Very respectful, professional, and as sweet as can be.
