Lucia Access Area

Kayaks and canoes only. Can't get a big boat in here! One if the many reasons I love this place. Nature abounds with egrets, and more. Gorgeous.

Perfect put-in for kayaks and canoes. If the water is low be prepared to get muddy, if the water is high it's smooth and easy. Just know that the water level is subject to change over the course of a few hours.

Grate place for the lil hand paddle and fishing nice out there good place to just get away

Great parking. No facilities. Location is well suited for paddling around this section of the lake / river. Unfortunately it's in a cove which is sitting in rapidly. It can get muddy.

Very natural surroundings but don't try to launch when the water level is low. If you need to step on mud from the ramp don't go any further, you will get stuck half way out.

It's a decent kayak and canoe access. Can be difficult when the water is low. Try timing it to catch it after they have started releasing from Cowan's Ford Dam.

Good for kayaks only. This is more of a wetland area so very dependent on water levels.

The take out was mud about two foot deep. Eight more inches of water and no mud no problem. Just low water causing trouble..

I think this is a very unpredictable kayak launch, especially for beginners. My wife got stuck in the mud pretty far from the land. I had to get out there and drag her and the kayak in. The mud is very think and deep. It was getting dark as well. They need to deepen and extend the ramp or this could be very dangerous.

A muddy trickle of water cut through a bug filled swamp. To top it off a downed tree crosses the muddy trickle of water so you have exit your kayak in knee deep smelly sewage to get your kayak over the tree. Totally useless.

This water is really low in the fall time…so it’s kinda hard to fish it
