Mountain Island Charter School

My daughter started MICS As a freshman last year. Our experience with this charter school has been extremely positive. You can not find a better, more supportive staff. Even when she had “new student” problems the counseling staff and teachers stepped in and gave her all the help she needed.
The education she is receiving is superior to the public education and home schooling she has had in the past. With teachers like most of these learning has become an enjoyable experience instead of a drudgery!

Great school. It is my second year at MICS and I am looking forward to graduating from this school in 2022. They have a great staff, everyone is very caring. They have great sports and take good care of all the students academically. If you need to find a school in your district I definitely recommend this one. :)

I am new this year to the MICS family but I can tell you that this change has been great for my family. Both of my personal children are in the middle school and both are happy, loved and getting a great education. I teach Kindergarten and love my job.

Our kids have attended MICS for years, and could not be more pleased. The administration and staff take the time to know each and every student. Our kids take advantage of their diverse extracurricular programs, including sports, the arts, and academic clubs. For us, the charter program is a perfect fit of the intimacy of a small school program, with the benefits and diversity of a large scale public school.

I nanny kids that attend this school and it is a wonderful place, every single one of the teachers are personable and treat everyone equally. The school accommodates for parents that work late with their wonderful after school program. The after school program is a great way for kids to interact with others outside of their classroom and even grade. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking in the district!

My girls have been at MICS since the very beginning, and we couldn't be happier. They both feel a part of the community, and are receiving such a great education! We really couldn't be happier.

We have been at MICS since kindergarten and our girls will be headed to middle school next year. We love the school, and all the opportunities that come with it, from field trips, to military appreciation assembly's, to community enrichment projects.

We got into MICS a few months into school and my son transition was great .The teachers and student so welcoming , great school to be a part of. My son loves it !!

My son goes to school here and we LOVE it!!!! The staff is GREAT, his teacher is AMAZING and they communicate with parents constantly-which is appreciated bc you always know what’s going on at the school, so you feel better about them being there!
