I love this library. I love how small it is while also being connected to the larger Gaston County system so you can get any book you'd like. I also appreciate the note at the bottom of the receipt telling you how much you saved by using the library. The staff are so friendly!! The children's section is small but all in one space so there's no paralysis of choice when bringing kids to "pick a few books" after school! Can't say good enough things about this place!!

Nicest Librarians ever. It may be small, but so friendly and ready to assist anyone that has a question. The display case is always filled with beautiful things. My suggestion to the person that rated 2 stars, Go somewhere else if you are not satisfied. This is a small town and these folks are kind and gracious.

While the building is both small and in need of renovation (No real problems, but the interior leaves a bit to be desired), The people there are great, and considering the town only has a bit over 3000 people, it's more than I could hope for. Plus, there are events hosted on a semi-regular basis, and I firmly believe that the Stanley Library is highly worth checking out.

Small branch .. however, the staff makes up for it with their personalities. They are helpful, courteous, and offer a personal touch while remaining professional. Requesting items online and having them sent to the Stanley branch is an easy process. Yes, the
main branch in Gastonia carries more immediate choices and compared to most CharMeck (and other cities) libraries ... there is no competition. However, I have been coming to this branch for most of my library needs since 2003 and I would not change a thing.
