The best time to come is in the winter for locals 😉 , fast and delicious. And there’s plenty of parking, but if you come during other seasons you’ll be able to find a spot to park along the street and you get to walk a little and enjoy the view. Second time visiting. I enjoy stopping here while traveling through. They offer excellent views, food, and service. Both my wife and I enjoyed the Gorge fries as an appetizer and the award winning chili. I had the Reuben and thought it was delicious. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

Not super busy when we went and great service, the food was great (I couldn't get a picture of the gorge fries fast enough), and there was a big variety to choose from. It's a pretty place because it is right next to the river

Clean and service with Susan our waitress was great we had the Cajun trout dip to start. We each had the trout dinner two piccata and one blackened with side salads with blue cheese. We ordered the onion loafs as well. Excellent fresh fish. The view out our window at Nantahala River was beautiful.

Very good burger. Fries are amazing. Seasonal ruby beer was good. Waitress was very nice and helpful. The choice of music was in my taste. Great experience! Thanks.

This place has the perfect location, right beside the river and the food is as good as the view! Our server was very knowledgeable and a big help. All good was cook to perfection and the drinks were good also with a large variety. Recommend going across the river and seeing everything on the other side. Will definitely be coming back next year!

This place is a hidden gem! Fantastic food, staff are all friendly, & amazing food. And the view is spectacular. So good we went back for a second time after our vacation ended. We will definitely be back.

Super yummy food and a nice atmosphere restaurant on the river. We were on our way to Cherokee and weren’t expecting to come across a restaurant like this in the last little stretch of our trip - it was a pleasant surprise! The only oof part of the visit was the price of my soda ($4). Everything else was typical price for the area. We definitely hope to make another visit in the future though!

Came here for dinner and seated by the river. What a wonderful atmosphere being able to watch the rafters and kayakers as they go down the river. Very lively spot and family friendly.

We had delicious gorge fries to start. If you’re gluten free, they’re safe and are cooked in a separate frier from the fried chicken. I also ended up getting the Mediterranean salad with trout. It was excellent! The salads are definitely a dish you can share or take for leftovers.

My husband got the Sherpa pizza and said it was awesome! Many great options and quality dishes with an awesome river front makes for a good time!

Rivers End is a great place to eat after a long afternoon of floating down that Nantahala River. My waiter, Ned, was very attentive and made some great suggestions. I had the trout sandwich. It was a loosely pressed paddy of ttound and seasoning that I can best compare to a flattened crab cake? It was a great sandwich. If your a fan of tartar sauce try theirs. Its very flavorful. I imagine at peak season the seating could be an issue but when I went it was not. You definately need to work this location into your days travels. PS they advertise that they only allow working guide dogs inside so ESA warning ⚠

Amazing views and service was great. The chili had a nice spice to it and the hiker bites were delicious. The best dam chicken sandwich was the best damn sandwich and the mash and gravy was great. My son loved the cheese pizza.

Amazing place! We asked for a window seat and got an amazing table! The restaurant is right on the river and has great fish and pizza! The trout was delicious and the pizza was crisp! We also got a couple drinks and enjoyed them very much! Well worth the drive!

Great place to eat! The food was phenomenal! My family all got the "best dam chicken sandwich" and I got the burger. We sat by the window and had a great view of events as well as a wild hog caught in the river.

Great food!! My mom and I shared the chicken Cesar wrap, which was incredible! French fries were some of the best I've ever had. Their white cheddar mac and cheese is divine!! Sat by the window with wonderful views of the Nantahala River. Our server was wonderful and friendly, too.

Open all year. Lunch was fabulous. For the kiddos the PBJ was a hot, it's huge. The Mac n cheese is not only kid approved but Mama approved. It was very creamy and delicious. Trout was fantastic. Pizza is not frozen and delicious. The teriyaki chicken and rice was amazing! Service was fantastic! 10 out of 10! Oh and the view of the river gorgeous and sets a cozy vibe.

First time diner. I had the best dam chicken sandwich. Loved the honey Chipotle sauce and the cabbage slaw on the sandwich. Can't remember what everyone else had, but we all enjoyed our lunch.

Came in for an early dinner with my family and left confirming why this is a must try when you are nearby. Restaurant overlooks and end of the NOCs rafting experience along the river. Food was amazing. Not pictured was a smoked trout chowder that was so good I took home an extra bowl for the next day. The trout in the chowder and in my trout cake sandwich were perfect and tasty. The best dam chicken sandwich had just the right amount of sweet and spicy sauce. My wife had the salmon salad served in a colander. The cook the salmon to your liking, from rare to done which is not like many restaurants and I appreciate that. The chicken ceaser wraps where also well made and flavorful.

Ella was the sweetest. Very pleasant and attentive. Informative in regards to food selections. The view on the Nantahala was beautiful. Our meals of Sherpa rice with blackened trout; salmon; trout sandwiches; and sweet potato fries were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! Would return a thousand times, if given the chance.

We stopped here for dinner. Everything was very good. I like that they had a children’s menu and gave the children crayons to color their paper menu while we waited for our meal. The best part was sitting right next to the large windows overlooking the Nantahala River. That was super cool!

Fantastic menu and staff 👌 😋 can't wait to go again. Beautiful place and view of the river. 5 stars
