To all you people who call for the resignation of a police officer who is doing his best and makes a mistake: you are the people who make it hard for the police to function. If every action is condemned, then every action must be justified, and rules get put in place which make it harder to keep you, the people doing the condemning, safe. Lay off the police and let them do their job.

Another department ruining the police name with abusive officers who are out to harm the community, not protect them.

It is clear from the video of Officer John Miller, that this department is both over manned and has to much tax payer budget. Is this John Miller trying to be inducted into the Barney Fife Hall of Fame, "the law is the law, and you broke the law." Anyone wants to know what Officer Miller's next move will be, all the have to do is tune into old Andy Griffith reruns and Barney will show them, what Miller's next move will be. To have tied up his time, the police car, and equipment for a $25.00 parking ticket because 2 neighbors are talking in the street, shows how over manned this department is. A simple "you should clear the street" should have sufficed from his window being rolled down.

Wow. Just saw the video. Police officer's are in a position to not just protect, but also serve the community they patrol. Pulling a taser on a citizen and telling him to back away when he was asking why the officer did what he did and rudely ignoring the guy mid-conversation is anything but serving the community you are sworn to protect. That taser pull was not because Officer John Miller was afraid for his life, it was to intimidate pure and simple. Part of LEO's duties is to interact with the public they serve and act in a most professional manner. The way Officer John Miller interacted with those of the community clearly shows that he thinks he is above those that he serves and that the community is just a doormat to his boots. The fact that this Dept. doesn't see anything wrong with it is really troubling. I guess they thought they'd win favor with the public by releasing the video but it backfired on them. They've since deleted the video and their FB page. Like an Ostrich that buries its head in the sand when things get tough...so much for improving community relations.

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Get rid of your worthless officer. Pulling taser and writing parking ticket while the vehicle is on and driver inside talking to her neighbor. Your job is to protect and serve. Keep acting this way and all you are going to do is bring tension between your populous and your officers. Save face and get rid of this officer NOW.

What a shame, I'm a huge supporter of LEOs and for you to support officer miller is a disgrace. This officer shows a blatant disrespect and disregard for others. He himself commits a traffic infraction in order to write this ticket. The only question I would ask is why does this officer have rights that superceed any other citizen? If that bystander pulled a gun or a tazer on the officer Miller but didn't deploy it he would be shot immediately, and if he didn't die he would be charged with assualting an officer or attempted murder.

Pulling a taser on a person invokes the same feelings of fear no matter if your on the blue line or not. We should never place the public in fear of the police unless it is absolutley nessesary to protect the life of another. This was a physical threat to the citizen, not preparation for conflict. A low ready or high retention of the taser would have served the officer just as well without imminently threatening the life of the citizen. Shame on this entire department and the culture you have created and tolerated.

Immediate reprimand and discipline might have saved this department and the "unaffiliated" but 4 miles away Enid PD all the headache your both going through now. There is no excuse for supporting this. Shame on you all.

I watched the video of the so called officer being unprofessional to the lady talking to her friend. If your police department needs money that bad then you have more problems then the rude cop that needs his diapers changed.
This is why the public does not want to interact with police at all. I can't believe your police department thinks his unprofessional attitude and actions are justified and within the department policy. Lol
KEEP EARNING THE HATE!!!!

Jon Miller is a loser. Plain and simple, he needs his authority to validate his pathetic self esteem. It is a real shame that he is allowed to work in the public sector. He is a disgrace to the uniform, the American public and to his own family.
