Hinman Island Park

Very nice park for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. Saw quite a few fish when snorkeling, but the water was a little cloudy. Some good sidewalks along the river for walking. A few people were fishing.

Ommmg! I didn't know what to expect but we loved it!!!! If you're a drinker though, there's no drinks allowed. Yep! Not even canned.... Other than that it's beautiful, it's huge, it's deep, and shallow, it's freaking awesome

Beautiful spot to go for public access to the river. KEEP THE PARK AND RIVER CLEAN PLEASE! Everyone was fun and friendly except for the one guy looking to ruin everyone's day by blatantly fishing where all the tubes float... it was really weird.

Very gorgeous water, so many parts to get in the water from.

I suggest using stairs by water so you can get in and out without hassle, unless you got strong arms and pull herself out the water from the curb.

What a beautiful place. I would even venture to say that it felt magical. The water is so transparent and fresh. It had a good family atmosphere and felt safe and appealing. Can't wait to go back!

I always enjoy coming to this park. It’s always family friendly and the lark is always clean and open to the public. On a beautiful day you will see many families just having picnics and being set up any where and every where around the park close to the water. There is no lifeguard on duty so you swim at your own risk. There are restrooms by the kids play ground and there are a few stores close by. It’s also very close to Schlitterbahn.

It's a wonderful place to visit specially with your family and friends... You can have good time swimming and enjoying life...

I go quite often with my dog even when the kids are not here. Plenty of area for everyone to have fun. If you don't like the crowd of people around you just move down some , it's all good.

It's beautiful nice and warm and lots of fun!! I always have a blast when I come out here.

Really neat park. You can access the chutes from there. Unfortunately they were closed down in October so no rides for us. People were swimming in the river though so that was still an option.

Awesome place for a dog walk along the Comal river...nice paved trails and the park was clean and well kept...Even got to give the dog a dip in the river...

We love this Park during off season. It's a great place to BBQ, Walk, Frisbee or let the kids play in the water or just do a short float. Usually clean and well maintained.
During tubing season it's a bit packed and parking is expensive 20-30 most places. Free after seven though:) So we usually snag a spot after.

The water is great! Don't forget your swimming suit. There are life jackets (mostly for kids) for free in the park. And there is also a small playground and toilets.

Great Park on the river. Nice area to walk or swim. Easy convenient river access and nice bathroom facilities, playground, and tables available along the river. Walking bridge and walkway along the river provide access to the dam and toob chute just downriver as well as access to Prince Solms Park across the creek. Water level has come up quite a bit in the past couple of weeks and is great for a swim or float. Easy access and a nice opportunity to enjoy fishing, swimming and paddling.

A nice place or take the family to play in the Comal River. Easy access to the water.

Great place to go anytime of the year! Kid friendly, family friendly! Bring a swim suit when it’s warm!!!

Is awesome! The water is crystalline. Sometimes you see turtles.

A beautiful and peaceful place to take friends or family to float on tubes, swim, picnic or just relax and watch the ducks.
There is a play area for younger children.
A very nice park.

Great place to frequent: There is so much to do here: swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, fishing, biking, bird watching, and even singing...with a ukulele. Also, if you get here early enough, free parking.
