Black Pearl Asian Fusion Restaurant

First time at this restaurant and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I’ve been wanting to try this place out for months, but forget it’s here because it’s kind of in a hidden area.

The food was prepared in a timely manner and was presented beautifully. I had a hard time finding great bubble tea or milk tea in Bellingham; until I found out about this place.

The restaurant is clean and a good spot for a nice meal without so much noise. I’ll definitely be coming back often to satisfy my cravings.

Very kind servers. The food is great and atmosphere is a bit small but cute.

Absolutely amazing experience, highly recommend to anyone in the area. The staff was extremely kind and friendly. My family and I order the chicken pad thai medium spicy the pad thai was excellent and I will definitely eat here again.

There was a bit of a wait for my carry out order but I wasn't getting fast food so I just made a mental note for when I order next.
Lady that helped with my order was friendly and helpful and I'm looking forward to trying more of their menu.

Always love their Pho and tonight I requested Tom yum which is not on their Menu and Laila the owner cooked it for me and oh boy it’s so good! Definitely need Tomyum on their Menu. 😍

I am a regular here and always will be. For other types of food I go to all sorts of different places. (For steaks or hamburgers or whatever).. but for green curry or 🍜 Pho.. I stopped going anywhere else. This is the only place I go to. It is NOT an overpriced pretentious waterfront establishment where you're buying as much atmosphere as you are food. The Black Pearl is just AWESOME food, served by genuinely friendly people. Be aware, as someone else in another review mentioned, this isn't fast food. It may seem slow sometimes but consider: They a small family place, with a limited staff (family mostly) and a lot of regulars (for obvious reasons) and a lot of delivery orders, which means they are often pretty backed up So sometimes (not always) you have to wait a little. Even if it looks like there's no one in there, they are often busy in the back with a lot of delivery orders. You'll see pick up services in and out the whole time your there. So if you're in a hurry, go eat at McDonald's, don't eat here and then go complain about the fact that food that's better than a kiddie burger takes longer to make. Myself, I just only go here when I have time to, when I'm not going to be concerned with a possible wait. And it IS worth the wait. Thats just me.
Bottom line: GREAT food that you are sure to love, from the nicest people you could meet!!

(Sidenote: I've noticed a couple other reviews that seemed like hit-pieces. In one review, the person complained about every single thing that she could think of to complain about. I am especially suspicious of a review when they have a horrid complaint about every single aspect of their experience with an establishment, with nothing good to say at all. Believe it or not, there ARE a few people out there who arn't very balanced, who oft over react to trivial issues, or who are just plain stupid or insane. And a couple of THOSE people can in fact write reviews. If EVERYTHING was terrible, then I have to assume that that person is WANTING everything to be terrible, perhaps unjustly, when they are possibly really upset about some other thing. I suspect its really THEY who are having a bad day, not the establishment. For example, should you look at other reviews written by one of these negative critics, you find that in one case, they wrote a 5 star review to some other business, then in the comments said that "I only gave them 5 stars because I hope the management will see it.." - so that they could then go on to complain about how loud thier forklifts are all night.
And thats kind of my point. Not every complaint is really about what an issue may be.
Just saying, every time I go eat there, I love the food, AND my interactions with the staff, who are among the friendliest people you'll meet. Take bad reviews with a grain of salt.)

It was my first time ordering here and the only regret I have is that I hadn’t tried it before. I had the garlic tofu stir fry and avocado basil smoothie. Both items were amazing and I look forward to trying more of their menu.

Just ordered this on Saturday night while passing through town. The owner took some time to talk me through what was great and listened to what I wanted. She was awesome! Settled on the chicken pad Thai and two orders of salad rolls (shrimp and tofu). OMG! So good. Great flavor and execution on everything. Very grateful

The workers here are so kind and lovely! I ordered tofu salad rolls which were really good. The chef came out to give me a spoon with my takeout order for the sauce, and she talked to me too which made my day :)

I loved the chicken and shrimp noodle bowl and chicken with peanut sauce noodle bowl! They were both delicious, the veggies were very fresh, and the owner (Nosh) is very friendly, funny and personable. Our food was prepared quickly, and we loved every bite! I highly recommend Black Pearl Asian Fusion restaurant!!

Ordered through doordash after a long day and didn’t realize the restaurant was about to close. Not only did they take the time to stay open to finish my meal but also had great service, fast, and the food phenomenal. My first time ordering and will definitely be back, although this time not at closing!

I came into town for an event and, knowing nothing, picked this place because it was close to my hotel. I love Vietnamese and Thai food.
The food is excellent. I got Phad See Ew, and it was very flavorful and the noodles were much more interesting than usual. Thd dish was made with care and originality!
I also got some fresh rolls for tomorrow's lunch. I haven't tried then yet, but I loved the choice between peanut or fish sauce dipping sauces.
The owners/chefs were so kind and helpful too.
I will be back next time I'm in town!

Great restaurant, great cuisine, great experience! I love their different offerings of curries & noodle dishes. I try to eat here at least once a month. My favorite dish is the shrimp & chicken noodle bowl. Everything on the menu is worth trying at least once if you like various Asian dishes. The owner & family that runs it are very friendly and get to know you as you come back over-and-over again. 5-Stars!

We have eaten here twice in the last week. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The Coconut Shrimp was vooked to perfection light & crispy. Pot stickers were huge with a great texture & robust flavor. Had our first Taro Bubble Tea! Very tasty! Will definitely be back😁😁‼

The staff was just closing down the kitchen when I came in tonight. I asked the guy working there if I could put in an order. He said they were closing and could not. I thanked them and went to my car. As I got in the man comes outside and said the cook would go ahead and make my order. Not only was the food amazing, but the kindness of the staff made it that much more! Definitely will come back again! Thank you again! My daughter loved it❤
