I love the Magdalen house! I am a part of the Family Support program that helps the families of the Women and Men that are clients. I have seen so many lives transformed at Maggies!

Wonderful and caring staff.
God sent . And yes there are Angels here on earth .

I am currently involved in the CPS case and I can not be very objective about the place and their services because of the way I got introduced to it and the events that followed, but my personal experience was as such.
I was "dragged"out of bed during quarantine while having severe flu symptoms by CPS, representative of which later stated in the court room that they have not received any sent by me text messages of my condition. They "armed" themselves with 3 police escort vehicles for their "protection".
We followed DFPS car to the location where we were met by 4 -5 police vehicles (as I was explained later by Maggie's House representative, the police was there because they had brake in that morning in one of their storage units).
After seeing my flu symptoms I was not allowed in the building and spent 3 and a half hours outside waiting for this process to be complete. The neighborhood was very questionable and I was told I could not come in even to use a bathroom. I was told to use the gas station that was around half a mile away.
I was told they would just chat with the kids and I was asked if that was ok. I said yes. They took my 5 and 6 year old inside one by one where they had video taped conversation with the forensic investigator ( I didn't know that fact until the court hearing ). Tape of that interview I have not been able to get, as I know everything they said my kids stated is taken out of context.
They told my kids they are not CPS and gave them toys, just to come out and tell me I can not go back home and I have to come with them.
Once I refused being blown away by how fast this progressed, my kids got taken away from me to the undisclosed location.
Again, to be fair I do not know much about Maggie's House and all good it does. But being a part of the CPS network, while brings business and attention, might not be worth the attention brought.
The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the lady that did work for the place was very kind to me. I feel like she deserved a star for keeping heartfelt and kind smile on her face for as long as she did. It can not be an easy thing: to see kids being taken from their homes.
