Athletico Physical Therapy - Peoria North

I went in for a running gait analysis (my visits were not injury related). Both Bryon and Sam were fantastic! I am training for a multi day Ultra race. Bryon provided analysis on my gait initially, taking his advice on small changes had a noticeable impact (running was easier and my pace increased) in the next few weeks. I worked with Sam on my strength training regiment over several weeks and was able to tweak my current plan to focus on specific exercises that related directly to running support and areas I needed to work on. Overall great experience!

Bryon, my PT at the Peoria North location was the perfect balance of "encourager" and "taskmaster" when recovering from a spinal fusion operation in January. He had a great sense of humor. During my 14 weeks of therapy, he listened to me and patiently answered all of my questions and concerns. I have surpassed my goal of being able to care for a 23 pound grand son and can repeatedly lift more than twice that weight. I never thought I could progress this much on the standing, walking, lifting and bending front. I am a female in my late sixties. If I am ever injured or need rehab for any other reason, I will return to Bryon at Athletico.

I’ve been working with Amanda for a few weeks now and am already seeing positive results! Working with her has been the best decision for my health post baby. The staff is very friendly and they create a positive space for rehab. I also like how Amanda utilizes an app for my check ins and exercises that I can use daily on my phone. I highly recommend!

I started coming to Athletico shy, scared, and timid. When I met Bryon I knew we were going to be a great pair. I went in for a simple back problem and ended up staying 3 weeks in the hospital. I couldn't even walk 30 feet and by this time I had to use a walker. Bryon was always there cheering me on as I got better and better after my Illness and diagnosis. He puts his time into you. I'm now known around Athletico from Missy to other DPT's. Bryon never gave up on me. That's what I needed. I was so close to throwing in the towel. I couldn't bathe myself, dress myself, move in bed, cook, and work. With the help of Bryon I am working half days after being off since December. If I had to choose where to go again Athletico is where I'm headed. It's not often you find a provider that calls you to make sure you get home safe. Every single one of the physical therapist are amazing and I'd see any one of them. Bryon just got stuck with my sass and complaining, but he takes it like a champ. I love coming to PT just so I can see everyone especially missy. She's always there to answer my calls and fit me in places. She's great! I feel at home there. But if I have to do another sit to stand I may crumble into pieces.

Athletico Physical Therapy on Willow Knolls has been great! They push me to my best and know my capabilities and strive to make sure I am doing what I can. They are very patient and make sure I am comfortable. They are easy to talk to and it’s been a great few weeks getting to know all of the staff!

I can't say enough great things about this facility. The staff are all very kind, friendly and truly care about the patients. Bryon & Sam really pushed me to regain my strength after a fall I had injuring the knee I had replaced a year ago. They both listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. I have had a great experience here treating my sciatic nerve pain. The staff is knowledgeable and professional. They work well as a team, and you get one on one attention. They take the time to listen to you and create a personalized plan to get you moving again.

I have been working with Amanda and Leah and it has been the best experience. Highly recommend for Pelvic Floor Therapy Postpartum. I have seen such great results and will continue coming back for every pregnancy. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable!

I worked with all of the staff at Athletico, mainly Brian. When I came in my shoulder was so bad that I couldn't turn my head to look for traffic, lift my grandbabie, reach item on overhead shelves. The worst was not resting because I couldn't lay on my left shoulder without pain. After my therapy sessions, I am able to do all of these things and so much more. The therapist that work here are amazing. Also, they are so friendly and helpful.

There are no words to describe how truly grateful I am to Amanda for making such a difference in the quality of my life! I went from having debilitating pain to finally being able to enjoy a walk with my dogs. She is very knowledgeable and compassionate. Everyone at Athletico North Peoria has been friendly and professional.
To put it into perspective….my “doctors” all had me pegged as a junkie because I kept complaining about the pain and was taking 8 pain pills a day, now only 9 sessions with Amanda and I am at one yes one pill a day and am looking forward to the day I have zero pain to never have to take pain pills again (except tylenol) lol. I never wanted to take any pain pills. I was begging for help with the pain particularly with my PCP, who referred me to a gynecologist who shamed me as well and didn't offer any solutions/alternatives.
You have no idea how life changing (here I am crying good tears) going to physical therapy with Athletico/Amanda has been to me. Thank you!!!

Athletico was phenomenal at getting me to be pain free and at my best functionally! Amanda, PT is amazing and I couldn’t have done it without her. I highly recommend Peoria North for any physical therapy needs you may have!

There is excellent camaraderie among staff. Every session is 60 minutes, Bryon works really hard to get you back to the best you can be, he listens to your concerns and addresses them. The facility is neat, tidy and clean. Parking is easy and close to the building. They have a variety of machines and equipment to make the sessions enjoyable and interesting. And a special shout out to Sam who took excellent care of me when Bryon wasn't there! Thanks for being a fantastic listener!

Both Bryon and Sam are amazing and have helped me tremendously with getting my mobility back and being able to get back to work! You can tell they both enjoy what they do and make physical therapy a not-so-hard process, so thank you!!

I have had such a great post-partum physical therapy experience. I have recovered so well with hard work, and with an amazing team of physical therapists, Amanda specifically. They really listen to you and come up with an individualized program to help you reach your goals!

I had severe neck/shoulder/arm pain pop up, and I’m glad I called Athletico to help. Bryon helped get to the roots of the issues, and was dedicated to seeing me reach my goals. We got the pain under control pretty quickly, and my mobility and almost all of my strength back in just over a month. If you find yourself in need of physical therapy, I would definitely recommend giving Bryon and the Athletico Peoria North team a call!

Had a pinched nerve in my neck that reaggravated and Bryon was able to see me right away. He is very knowledgeable and within 20 minutes had me doing movements to free up my back to release my muscles and the tension that they were causing with my pinched nerve. Looking forward to additional sessions and knowledge to be more preventative in my health than reactionary. Go see Bryon, he's fantastic!

Amanda and Leah are the best therapists!! They are very caring; they are good listeners and they work very hard to address your problems. I highly recommend this place…everyone there is very friendly and helpful!!

Athletico has been a great place to come after having concussion headaches and neck pain. Each week Bryan works hard at helping me create new solutions to the problems at hand. He does at great job at creating a plan for the week that’ll help me improve my condition over time and paces it accordingly to how I feel. I strongly recommend this location if you are trying to make a decision.

The therapists are personable, easy to work with and in tune to what exercises are needed to move along. Sometimes they even kid around and then it's not so dreary to be doing exercises.
