St. Mary Catholic Church

SMCC is a special place to worship! We caught a great homily as out of town guests. Beautiful church, inside and out. Wonderful choir. And ya know, It was great to actually shake hands with parishioners! The last time we did that was prior to COVID. In Chicagoland, it’s all about waving, smiling and nodding.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church is a stunningly beautiful church led by a humble and personable priest. From the moment you enter, you are aware that it is sacred space for prayer and celebrating the love of Christ. Father Nolan’s homilies are timely and relevant to today’s World. Today he said, Love does not begin in the heart, it begins in the intellect. Such a powerful message that we make a choice to love people. Handicapped parking is plentiful and right at the entrance that puts you in the front of the church. Father brings communion to those with physical challenges. As a visitor, I felt very welcome.

I don't attend the church but so appreciate the food pantry. Things are hard right now & the food pantry helps so much.

They treated me with the utmost respect as a child.
