My goodness! We live in OH and went to Reading to try something new. That hamburger did not disappoint. I NEVER can finish food at a restaurant but I demolished that hamburger. So flavorful so good, Toppings were fresh. Service was absolutely wonderful. I most definitely will come back and get a double hamburger next time. Yummy

Welcomed by friendly waitress, who was patient when I was indecisive and when we took longer than most customers to eat. Food was delicious and decently priced. I was pleasantly surprised they had high chairs as well.

We really enjoyed our visit to Reading. The antique dealer recommended Ray's place and it did not disappoint. The burgers were so good we made a return trip on our way back to Fl. The food was fresh and reasonably priced. The service was fast and friendly. The locals made us feel VERY welcome. I enjoyed my visit and will be returning the next time I visit the area.

Best burgers around!! Love their cheese curds too. I've cold beer... and I don't even like beer, but when it's that ice cold, it's delicious! Also, Kelly and Darrell are amazing!

Old bar and grill style in downtown Reading with excellent service and the best burger around! Highly recommend this hidden gem!

My burger was extra delicious and maybe it was the bacon, but it had to be the cooks fault! Any time I've been to a resturant that toasts their buns on the griddle, the bun is still soggy because the burger is so greasy. My burger, bun and condiments included, from Ray's Tavern was perfect. AND, as always I appreciate how friendly and personable the staff is, it makes for an enjoyable evening!

Just a great place to eat and socialize

A very small family dinner/bar that shows Readings highlights from over the years. The food is still very good. We make it a priority to stop whenever we visit the lake. We feel because of COVID the menu shrunk and prices went up a little. That won't stop us from going though.

Great little jem for a Burger or Taco Thursday at Rays! Great service as well. Cash only. They do have an ATM inside if you forget!

I've listened to there advertisement on 102.5 a lot in the morning getting ready for work. Well, I got the experience of eating one for dinner. It was sooooo good!!. I had a double cheeseburger with bacon, mayo and ketchup. It was a fantastic burger. I also ordered some of there home made chips, crispy of course. They were quite yummy. Terry had the friday night special. A 16 oz porter house steak. Cooked exactly the way he likes it. Warm all the way thru, rare. Service was great, met the owner. Very charming lady. She personally asked how our meals were. I would definitely suggest Rays for your next meal out. Beer was nice and cold too.

Been going to this place since I was a wee lad, great burgers and side dishes. Would love to talk about how good everything else is but the burger is so good I never tried anything else!

Burgers r always top notch, they have that char from the grill that is all full of flavor. The fries are the skinnier kind and were so hot I had to wait to eat them ..super crispy too. Didn't choose desserts yet but they look so good. The servers were having a good time and were very helpful :) definitely going back. I live in Jackson so it's always a treat to go.

Melinda was awesome. Loved the chedar cheese nuggets and the bacon cheese burger. The strawberry cheese cake was homemade. Yum.

been going here since i was little. it’s such a nice warming friendly place. their burgers and fries are my favorite, no one makes them better!!

Deb and Kelly are the BEST bartenders/waitresses!!! Fun, social and great service. I have a burger named after me, stop in and try the Big Rob Burger..5 patties, hash browns, bacon, sausage gravy and a friend egg..You're welcome

We love the burgers and fries here...burger patties are thin the way my husband and I like them, and the fries are crispy!!! Win win! best of all the beer is cold🍻

Amazing food great prices and super friendly service

You'll be seeing rays of light after eating one of their delicious burgers at Ray's. If you like good bar food and a fun and friendly atmosphere Ray's is the place in Reading. Tell them Large Marge sent ya, and the courteous staff will look at you strangely.

Even after taking the burgers to go the burgers were perfect. 100% recommend this place.

Stopped in for tacos on the wrong day. They do the tacos Thursday so I had a triple bacon cheese burger. Food was great and the service was excellent. I'll be back Thursday for those tacos. :)
