Brent and Mandy are awesome. They are personable. They treat You like family. They do what they can to make You comfortable in the worse time you’re going through. I personally have used them for my dad back in 2006 my son 2008 my husband 2018, my aunt 2019 just last month my mom 2023. So over many years. I would definitely recommend Gillies Funeral Chapel in Brigham City Utah.

I never would have imagined the process could go so smoothly. Brent and his team are amazing and made a difficult time so much easier. Their attention to detail and compassion are unmatched.

My family and I really appreciated the kind, caring, professional service Brent and his staff provided in taking care of our dad. I've been friends with Brent and his family for years. They are exceptionally wonderful people. When the time came, I called Brent and he handled everything and walked us through the process with patience and compassion. I was also very impressed with the after-care program and Melanie was a wonderful help with that. They all made the process as easy as I believe it can possibly be for such a difficult part of life. We have been fortunate enough to not need the funeral services of Gillies yet. However, they did sponsor our granddaughter to help her get to FBLA Nationals in Chicago. We appreciate so much that they help the community in multiple ways.

They made my husband's service's less stressful. The entire staff were genuine, loving, supportive, and really worked with our entire family. This is the worst trauma we've ever experienced but Gillies made us all feel like family. I could not thank them enough. This is a great place to hold your loved ones service's.

Brent and staff have been so kind in the funerals of both our grandfather and daughter. Brent really took the time with us to explain everything in a caring way and did the same with our grandmother. Gillies Funeral Chapel took care of my mother-in-law's funeral and burial and were fantastic. They were very respectful and know their stuff. They drove from Brigham City to Farmington for the pickup, and they did a wonderful job preparing her for the viewing and funeral. They also literally went the extra mile (or 240 miles) with us to Victor, Idaho for the burial. We are very appreciative of all that Brent and his staff did to take care of us.

Gillis Funeral Chapel provided services for my grandmother. She looked great, and they were so easy to work with. The services were very organized and professional. Brent is a very caring man, and is easy to talk to even in hard situations! He remembers families, and gets emotionally involved. He's not just running a business, but loves helping family through rough times. The business is very active in the community, and donates and participates in many community events. I'd recommend anyone to use Gillis Funeral Chapel for their funeral needs.

The Love and Gratitude that Gillies Funeral Chapel Showed us and helped us with my parents and my brother Lance D. Brimberry. They care so much about the families grieving and always show love and respect towards everyone involved. Anytime you have questions or concerns or need to change things they are there for you. I have delayed for some time in writing this review. Mostly because it means a finality of the loss.
Brent has helped us with both of my parents funeral. One was a tragedy and the other sooner than we expected. Brent's demeanor, respect for our family and our loss, knowledge of the process, his camaraderie, and easy going nature makes it very easy to give his business a five star rating. If 10 stars were allowed, I'd easily do 10 stars. Brent and his staff are simply the best.

I’ve had the privilege to know and associate with Brent Gillies in many different capacities for over 15 years and am honored to call him a friend. I have seen firsthand the caring and compassionate service that Brent and his staff have offered to families in their greatest time of sorrow and need. It was hard not to notice that every negative review of Gillies Funeral Chapel was placed in the last week since the Facebook post was made. I think it is rather unfortunate that a man’s reputation that he has built throughout his career is being damaged because of one social media post. I refuse to condemn a great man for this especially after a sincere apology has been made.

Brent is one of the finest people I know. He is a kind, compassionate man. I would recommend him both as an honorable businessman and person. He'll always have my family's business when the need arises. Thank you Gillies Funeral Chapel for your years of service to our community.

Don't pay any attention to the sheep trying to smear the reputation of Brent Gillies on google! They have a political axe to grind at Mr.Gillies expense! Gillies Funeral Chapel handled my mother's funeral yesterday with professionalism and respect! They were all so kind and helpful, I really appreciate the efforts they made in my behalf and the love they showed towards my mother! I would recommend Gillies to anyone looking for a little more human and personal touch for funeral arrangements!

We have had Gillies Funeral Chapel take care of the funerals for our family members. He has been very professional and compassionate during the whole process. We love the fact that is a family business and not part of a chain, therefore giving the families personal attention.

Brent Gillies and his staff are the most caring and dedicated people I know. My patients have worked with him for their deceased loved ones. He goes above and beyond!! I have nothing but wonderful praise for him, his staff and funeral home. They have always done a great job during such a difficult time for people. Would recommend him to anyone who wants to feel loved, have their deceased loved ones in the best hands, and who supersedes standard of care!!! In addition, Brent loves all people; he is not racist. He serves this community, which consists of people of all religions, cultures and ethnicity. Brent has a great sense of humor and posted something on his timeline, which was supposed to be a joke, but it was insensitive. I do not believe he meant to be insensitive. Brent is a very happy, loving and caring man and did not intentionally mean to offend anyone. He is constantly trying to get people to laugh and enjoy life despite the way our world is. WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES, BUT THOSE MISTAKES DO NOT REPRESENT OR DEFINE US. We learn from them and they make us better. Hard to believe that people would rate him and his business poorly because of a poor joke. Rate him on how he does with his business and how he treats people. This is what this rate and review is for. I guarantee that the people who rated him poorly were never treated poorly by him and obviously do not know Brent. His joke was on his Facebook page for friends and family; he apologized for his mistake. It's time to stop the witch hunt and return to treating people civilly. We all have weaknesses and the people who rated him poorly over this, I don't think would like their mistakes rated online. I understand his position, but forgive and move on to more important matters in the world. This does not take away the fact, how great of man he is and how great he is at what he does. Thanks Brent for your service, dedication and for who you are:)
