Madelia Hotel & Suites near Lake Crystal and Mankato

Used a deluxe room had warm it up but whirlpool was great. Can tell been a bit since room been used. But was pleasant stay will stay again soon. Possibly for extended periods even great breakfast.

My husband & I wanted to go to New Ulm for Oktoberfest with our dogs. It's sometimes so difficult to find a decently priced hotel that allows dogs. When we pulled into the parking lot on a Friday afternoon, there were only 2 cars in the parking lot that appeared to be staff. We were a little spooked at first not knowing what we were going into for a weekend, but we loved it!

The room we were in was spacious and clean. Some of the reviews complain about the windows and the decor...I don't see how that's important when you're paying an affordable rate and if your stay is so impacted by these factors, you should really search for a 5-star hotel and pay the price.

We loved how quiet and peaceful the hotel was. The continental breakfast was great with a make your own waffle station, scrambled eggs, sausages, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, cereal, bread for toast, english muffins, coffee, milk & juice. Overall, it was a great weekend stay for my husband & I with our 3 dogs. We would definitely come back if we ever go to Oktoberfest again!

Friendly and helpful service. Stopped in for the night and was happy with the room and the breakfast. The whole place felt clean and had a cute atmosphere.
Apparently under new management and they are putting effort into making it a pleasant stay. Thank you!

We stayed here for a night to rest from a long drive; we had an awesome stay.
The only issue I can think of is that there were so many road works and road closures going to the hotel, but everything worked out fine.

It's a bit pricey but my employer re-imburses travel expenses so it worked out. The room was clean and comfortable. Very quiet neighborhood. I can definitely recommend.

Love the service here !! We had honeymoon suite the whirlpool was amazing in the room TV reception was great and on top of it the room had champagne and goodies an is spacious! The fireplace is great too kept us warm at night, the room is big enough to do cart wheels in! Breakfast was really good, no complaints here was happy with everything! Our daughter was married up the road at the Schroeder farm so the entire hotel was filled with our family and friends! The manager Lori and owner Ash were wonderful to work with! Lori called many times before the stay to make sure we had everything we needed. We were able to use the conference room for the bridal party to get ready in! They have a pool table in the lobby which was fun for all! Lori made a great continental breakfast! The rooms were all very clean! Why stay in Mankato when this hotel AND Madelia have all you need! I would definitely recommend!

Loved the decor. Our room was very cozy and clean. Had a wonderful 3 day stay. Mrs. Lori at the front desk was so helpful and so sweet. She made sure we had everything we needed. We definitely will come back to this hotel. Thank you Mrs. Lori for a great stay and oh!! awesome coffee!

I was greeted with the warmest welcome upon my arrival! Hotel was extremely clean! My room was perfect and just as described. Great coffee and continental breakfast! Offered pool and hot tub! Can’t say enough about Lori the host! She checked in frequently and made sure everything was perfect for my stay! Highly recommended!!!

Madelia Hotel & Suites is by the far the greatest and most patient hotel I've ever dealt with! Lori is fantastic and she is such a great help! The staff here goes above and beyond for their guests and we can't thank them enough. Our employees we send to them are always pleased and they do everything that they can to help. The location is great (right off the highway and next to multiple gas stations) and the parking is very spacious. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anybody coming from out of town and needs a place to stay near Mankato!

This is by far the most comfortable hotel stay I’ve ever experienced. I’m so glad we couldn’t find a room in Mankato. Our room here was immaculate, comfy bed, and also a fridge and microwave in the room. The lady at the front desk was so beyond nice, we got to the hotel super late but she didn’t mind-she even gave us a later checkout time. (Which we so appreciated that extra hour + of sleep.) The pool was closed but we weren’t planning on using it so it didn’t affect our stay. I really have nothing but good things to say about this place and the staff.

Lori is the best! Comfortable and clean hotel with excellent service. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly reception staff Lori, she made us feel welcomed and went above and beyond to accommodate us, and checked us in with comfy beds and a whirlpool in the room. After being on a semi-truck and barely sleeping 2 hours in a 35 hour trip, the whirlpool in the bedroom did the trick and I slept like a big baby. Would definetely recommend this hotel to everybody! It's a true sample of excellent hospitality. Thank you again Lori for going just that little step extra for the guests.

We didn't have a reservation but Lori did her best to get us in as I'm traveling with a disabled lady who got sick on our trip. It's immaculately clean, rooms are excellent and bed and recliner so comfy. She went above and beyond to help us out. Great job and wonderful place.

My sister and I were on our way to South Dakota when we had to pull over in Madelia due to the interstate shutting down from a blizzard. Laurie at the front desk was so kind to find us a room to stay in for the night on literally minutes notice. Her customer service was amazing. When we walked into the hotel it was super cozy with a fireplace and a nice pool table. The hotel room itself is super nice and clean. Highly recommend.

Madelia hotel really saved us in a pinch. Our car broke down a few minutes from town and they were able to give us a very nice, clean, affordable room. But the icing on the cake was the customer service! Lori at the front desk went above and beyond to made us feel welcomed and comfortable. She gave us great tips on some local eats and turned our worst case scenario into a serendipitous getaway. It was the first time we’ve been to this little town - but now, it seems we have a reason to come back.

Stayed two nights at this hotel. The employees were very nice and the lady behind the desk helped with anything I asked for, and since I'm not grommet the area, it was so helpful. I would recommend this place to everyone. Super clean rooms, and nice furniture. This place went above and beyond service!

There was road closure by the Hotel and I had to take detour to reach there but my stay was pleasant and will definitely come back.

We were stranded here on a road trip during the Christmas ground blizzard of 2022, and the staff was absolutely wonderful. An unexpected stop here turned into two relaxing nights out of the cold. A million thanks to the awesome folks who work here

I’ve tried to leave this review many times now…with no luck. Finally I get to say how enjoyable my stay has been. The hotel was extremely comfortable and clean. The staff is excellent and it really makes you feel at home. Currently this is my second stay and I will definitely be back.

Clean comfy rooms. Staff was amazing and so very accommodating. traveling with my mother i need to be very specific with room location. This lady tolerated me beautifully so friendly and fun. We'll be back for sure! Thanks for a great stay Lori
