We visited this trail on a rainy day, and it was very peaceful. Excellent area for those who enjoy short hikes.
Easy access from the main road. Free parking by the entrance. A board with a physical map available as well as QR codes you can scan with your phone.

What a wonderful gem. We were going to hike the trails at the Barrington Town Forest but drove past Swain Road before realizing it. Went to turn around and we were at the SELT trailhead. Decided to hike here instead (there were only 2 other cars in the lot). We were not disappointed. Beautiful trails and a beautiful area. Wish there was a trail guide. We are very in8terested in finding out more about the history of the area. We loved the glen with the old abandoned well and cellar holes. Was the larger one for a barn?? What are the green cabins for? Shelter from the elements? And the stone staircase, was that from a grand home? So much to learn. Can't wait to go back and explore some more! This was a true delight. Thank you for conserving this land and building these wonderful trails.

Many of the paths are actually almost roads. Also lots of cool stone work to see. A nice easy hike, would be appropriate for kids. We saw lots of people with dogs the day we strolled there.

Love these trails well maintained, clean and I just hope humans respect it and do not leave their trash behind to ruin it for others.

Amazing trails for mountain biking. I go here almost every week. Great trails for every type of rider. Fast downhills and technical climbs
