Nippo Lake Golf Club

Great course in Barrington NH. Played in the 1st Annual Strafford Firefighters Fundraiser and the event was excellent.

Lots of great people put this event in motion.

They had a pneumatic golfball cannon on the 10th hole? YOU SHOT YOUR BALL UP TO THE GREEN FOR A $10 DONATION & GOT AN AUTOMATIC EAGLE (it didn't help our score though) SUCH A GOOD IDEA!!!

All the golfers...72 golfers enjoyed beautifully kept greens, awesome views, superb weather, yummy food and drinks from a 1st rate staff!!!

...Can't wait for next year!!!

Fist time playing and really enjoyed the friendly staff, well kept greens and beautiful views. It's a challenging and enjoyable course for seasoned and new players. Worth the trip!

The bar & beverage lounge was fully stocked with all my favorites. Had a great selection on the menu. Food came out hot and perfect temperature. Sat outside on Adirondack chairs, and enjoyed the view. Will be playing golf there in the upcoming months and I cannot wait!

The best pubic course in the area! The whole family went and we had a great time at a reasonable price. Thanks Nippo

I don’t play golf, LOL. But if you’re looking for a place to [a] make a cell phone call to talk business/smack, in between Rochester and Rte 4 (without dropping calls), the parking lot is king (and excellent views!) or [b] take your inconsiderate and electronics-addicted children for some good ole fashioned downhill snow sledding, this place rules (and it’s 100% freeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!).

Great trivia night!
They were a little slow getting orders out of the kitchen, but the server said that it was far busier than a typical Friday night. I'm sure they will be more prepared for the next one. We ordered chicken fingers, onion rings, and loaded tots. All excellent when despite the long wait.

First time golfing at Nippo Lake and my husband and I had a great day. If you like mountain views, challenging holes and a friendly atmosphere then you MUST give this course a try!

First time at Nippon Lake friendly staff the course is in good shape fast moving we played the back nine first better off I think

Ive been golfing at Nippo since i was in high school and it is one of my favorite courses in the area. The course is beautiful and has a good balance of challenging holes and shorter par threes. Leaving plenty of opportunities to get a good score for the round. The front 9 is open and the fairways are wide, making it ideal for novice golfers. When you make the turn to the back nine you are faced with narrower fairways, more hazards and significant elevation change. Which will test your resolve and golf game

I’ll start this off by stating that my girlfriend and I are relatively new to golf. We can kill it on a mini golf course but the real thing is other level of fun. The course ranger/manager at the time of our visit were very understanding of our lack of experience and were extremely accommodating and patient with us. They recognized that we were slower players and instead of kicking us off the course, they let us hit a few balls on the driving range, explained some of the basic rules we should follow, and allowed us to play by ourselves on the course at the tail end of the evening to ensure that no experienced players got stuck behind us. We happened to stay for the live music and drinks/food after finishing up our round and decided that we’ll definitely be back another time to check out the back nine holes. I highly recommend this course to anyone who is newer to the sport of golf and anyone who may be more experienced but is looking for a local hidden gem of a course. We will definitely be back and will recommend others to check out the course in the future as well.

Some friends and I gathered today for my going away party. The staff were great at setting up for social distancing and accommodating 8 people. Pizza was very good, both cheese and pesto. Nice beer selection too. Terrific views too! Stop by!

Great food and service! I have had lunch there once. Sandwich was good, something you expect at a mom and pop diner. 2018 Mother’s Day Brunch. Haddock was excellent! Perfect cook and flavor. Eggs Benedict was not good. Prime rib was great. Desserts were tasty, but I think store bought. I will go back because the service has always been great and the price is reasonable.

The course is looking good, lots of mountain views. The back 9 is in fantastic shape. Just a couple of greens that have a few rough spots. Definitely worth the money.
Also the staff are excellent with any assistance you may need.

Was there to walk around with my step-son doing a jr golf league. The grounds crew embraced the new golfers as if they were country club regulars. I was impressed with how they handled the crowd of young golfers and their supporters. The course is well laid out. I dont play golf much any more. I believe that I would have found it a challenging course during my playing days.

We were there for the get together for Paul Shea. The atmosphere was nice and friendly.

Only played the back 9. Great course for casual golfing with friends. Greens are just right and the value was solid with lots of variety on every hole. The fairways were good as well. Remember: this is a mom and pop kind of course where it's laid back , fun, and reasonably inexpensive. You're not going to get fairways that are softer than your 800 thread count sheets and water hazards so prestine they could be in a national park. If you want that, take your Bentley and go fork out the big bucks somewhere.

Always accommodating with tee times and they keep the course in great shape. The prices are reasonable and comparable to other courses around. Everyone is always welcoming and friendly; it's one of my favorite places to golf in the area.

We were there for a 3 location, company outing. The grounds were wonderful! The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The food was very tasty and filling. I recommend this course to anyone wishing ro have an enjoyable day

Nice menu with different options. Beautiful view from the deck. Food tasted great and April and Mindy are fantastic!

I have been playing golf for about three years now and I have now found the course I would love play as much as possible. Stunning course, Great staff and very inexpensive food. Thank you all so much for what I feel was a great father's day event. I will be coming back soon.
