The International Delight Cafe

My kids and I have gone here a few times. Everyone is very friendly. Food comes out relatively quick. Portions are large. Food is an 8 out of 10. I'll certainly go back. Bring cash because that's all that's accepted.

We have been longtime lovers of the IDC ever since living in RVC in 2000. We haven’t lived on Long Island or even anywhere close to NY for the last 20 years, and we had heard that they closed permanently and were heartbroken. It was by a quirk that upon returning to LI for a visit that we discovered the Bellmore location has remained open. YAY!!

Today is my MIL’s 90th birthday, and we cannot be there. We ordered gelato delivery and, in the delivery instructions, asked that they try to make it as festive as possible. Jordan and his team did an incredible job and even wrote a kind note to us about the milestone birthday!! I’m totally bowled over by their generosity of spirit and attention to detail.

5 stars all around to IDC - a cafe and team who clearly understand the meaning of family and celebrations!! Thank you for all of your efforts.

Our server was great! She was attentive, super sweet and patient with us! The food was good, and the gelato! Have never seen so many flavors! We were running late, past the closing time, our niece is leaving for school tomorrow, and we weren't rushed at all. Thank you!

I order Cesar salad + Grilled Chicken on top, Strawberry milk shake, Chicken quesadilla and Ice cream. All of them are Amazing Good service. Must come!!

Great food and ice cream. They go out of their way to make sure people with allergies get their ice cream without worrying about cross-contamination. They make desserts for vegan and lactose intolerant customers.

me and my husband we ate here last night for first time the place was fun and family Oriented the food was amazing i had the Brisket with sweet potato fries, a lemonade and the raspberry truffle Gelato ice cream., it was amazing and Rob had lemon chicken with white rice and he had split pea soup prices were very Reasonable We will be back loved this place fun night out this place rocked!!!! jill & Rob

Good dessert place, clean and inexpensive. Cute place, good food, excellent gelato! I love getting the waffle with the gelato. The hot chocolate with whipped cream on top is super delish! They have many flavors to pick from and there are always new ones. I would recommend this place to anyone

We came in with a pretty large group for the gelato and the staff was very patient and accommodating. So many great flavors and amazing quality of product(I got the stracciatella and Hawaiian heaven). Would definitely come back here!

Been here a handful of times already with my family so it’s time to write a review. New ownership has taken this restaurant very far. The food is absolutely delicious and there is lots to choose from on the menu. We walked in and were greeted immediately. Even though there was a line outside, we got in and sat down very quickly, which was very pleasing. Goes to show how popular this place is and how much people love it. When it was time for dessert, OMG the variety of gelato was mind-boggling. I’ve never seen such a wide variety of flavors. We each had two scoops of different flavors and it was pretty much to die for. The kids were very happy and we will continue coming back.

I have been bringing my kids here for years since Toni was the owner. I am glad she sold the place to some great people been here bunch of times with the new owners in place not much has changed except some of items and prices which is because of the times things go up in price can’t blame them. The Gelato is Still the best part of this place love the rainbow cookie my wife love’s pistachios and exotic cookie, my kids pretty much sample everything . Good luck to the new owners. Nice job freshening the place up it’s a lot brighter.

Staff is great very professional even when dealing with rude customers food and ice cream was awesome and the face lift on the place was a nice touch happy to go back with the family keep up the good work IDC !!!

Our 1st time here, we will definitely be back! Cute spot listed as a dinner but more like a neighborhood coffee shop. It was clean and quite busy, serving a variety of generously portioned, well presented food. The wait staff were friendly and attentive.
But what really brought us here was the 100+ ice cream flavors. The flavors are home made and taste every bit of it. They are also very generous with the scoops & toppings. For the first time in my adult life I couldn't finish my sundae and had taken the rest to go.

I have been dining here since Toni owned it was very sad when i found out she sold. Just left from having dinner and gelato. Met the new owners seem like great people they are long time Long Island natives. Food and gelato is still amazing very happy they freshened the place up it definitely needed it. good luck guys

The IDC has become so amazing since the new owners took over. Parking is not the greatest, but the staff definitely makes up for it. It is a very kid friendly atmosphere which is so hard to come by with 2 loud picky kids lol. . They have very juicy burgers and great chicken soup. My daughter LOVED the mozzie sticks. And my son couldnt stop with their bacon. The gelato counter definitely gets extremely busy, extremely! but it is definitely worth the wait! so many flavors and i think my kids tried every single one hahaha. . The owner was trying out a new Barbie shake flavor as my daughter stood there patiently staring so the owner let her try it. She loved it so much, and it put such a smile on her face so he let her have it, free of charge. Our server Kiki was so super sweet to all of us especially both of my kids and super patient. I can't begin to tell you how amazing and family oriented this restaurant is turning out to be!! We will definitely be back! Thank you ALL SO MUCH for the wonderful experience and great service!!

Amazing gelato. Cute decor. Food is very good and has a wide variety on the menu. The servers are good but the man bussing tables and helping with hosting is amazing at his job. Chicken and waffles were really great too.
