Was looking for a dog beach in NY and this place came up. My pup loved it! Came during memorial day. All other pups and their hoomans were nice. Will be back! As many other reviews have stated: "go during low tide" or you'll probably think the beach is 30 feet by 10 feet like some other reviews on here have written 🤭. And yes parking might be a little annoying but it's worth the added steps if you already came out wanting your pup to have a good time!

The year-round dog beach is an absolute paradise for canine companions! With its open access for dogs to run and swim from 8 am to 12 noon, it's a haven of joy for both pets and their owners. I've found that going early ensures snagging a parking spot, allowing us to make the most of our beach adventure. It's a fantastic way to let your furry friend enjoy the sand, surf, and sun, making unforgettable memories together.

Such a beautiful park. It is a bit hilly, but it has incredible views of the Long Island Sound. The dog and I love coming down here and taking a leisurely walk. You can usually encounter at least two other dogs on any given occasion. 😁 Check the tides before you go because you lose half access to the beach at high tide!

Love this little dog beach! I wish there was more parking but overall it's great. Also remember at high tide there's very little sand space.

The beach is not as clean as a regular human beaches. There are a lot of pebbles and broken shells BUT it was awesome. Other dog owners do an amazing job cleaning up after their pets. Also, there’s only one way in and out so it’s easier for the dogs to roam. Everyone there was so nice and they made sure their dogs were kind to everyone human and dogs alike. Even when my dog didn’t want to socialize everyone still made us feel comfortable and safe. I would highly suggest this dog beach. I wish there were more.

Excellent place to bring your dog to get a nice beach swim. Better during low tide with more beach access

Beautiful place, we met fantastic dogs owners who had proved to have their pets under control, and leashed, will recommend this place to all my friends

Still a great place for dogs to beat the heat and enjoy a swim.
It's been closing at noon this year, for the large volume of new visitors and distancing. The tide has come in earlier than usual, so check the tide prior, as the shore/beach space is considerably less to walk and enjoy their beach day.

Wonderful little spot a short ways off from a beautiful scenic park where we walked after we had our fill of sand and splashing around! We were lucky enough to arrive at low tide which we were told greatly expands the space in which the dogs can run and play on the beach. Easy to get to by public transit as well. Will definitely return.

Larchmont dog beach is a great place to bring your dog! It's a local gem. My dog gets relief from the hot weather when he comes here. Also it a different experience for him from the fenced in dog park with grass and trees. I taught my dog to swim here. Now you can't get him out of the water. =)

Love this place! Great for dogs! A lot of friendly and welcoming dog lovers and dogs. Good for the pups to socialize and pet parents to make friends. Would be even better if humans without dogs stopped crowding this beach with they kayaks, boogeyboards, paddle boards, canoes, and just spent the cash on the country clubs next door and up and down the shore. If you can't afford your watersports hobby, don't infringe on the rights of others. Ya know? I don't come to your hood to throw a block party. A lot of those huge kayaks and canoes (Especially when you bring your family 🤦‍♂) scare the dogs and/or they may see it as a toy and chew or pee on it. 🤣 It's a dog beach. You have plenty of human beaches. 🐾

Please make sure to take care of this beach for everyone! Closed after 2020 hurricane, but now open again 2021 with distancing and signs requiring masks. Not totally fenced in, so "dogs must remain leashed." Also, "no swimming" because it's a bit rocky.

Cute little Dog beach and by little, I mean very small! It’s convenient for a quick dip to cool off the pup. We found parking a couple blocks down, which wasn’t a far walk.

Great place, with lots of puppers having off leash fun. No shade on the beach, but plenty in nearby parks if you need a break. No amenities nearby so bring your own water and snacks.

Awesome dog beach. It is not a fenced but only one way out and In so much space during low tide to let the doggies roam free. Plus I saw Jessica from trueblood there once so the was nice

This place is great for dogs that like water... Make sure you go at low tide. At high tide there is almost no beach.
