The Ridge Tea - Coffee - Spice

Wonderful little tea shop. So many different kinds and flavors to choose from. I had a mixture of two teas that Chris, the owner, recommended. Chris is truly passionate about teas and he is extremely knowledgeable. We talked to him for awhile about teas and learned so much! Definitely check this little gem out if you want an excellent cup of tea accompanied by excellent service!

I wasn't sure what to expect upon walking into this establishment, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's small, but a fabulous use of space. Both coffee and tea lovers will enjoy themselves here (whether seated inside or outside).
The atmosphere is very calming, but light and bright. The barista welcomed me with a genuine smile, and welcomed me. Upon realizing it was my first time there, he politely showed me the options the store gives its customers.
There's a section for selecting spices, loose tea, cooler items with a variety of drinks and more for purchase and personal use. The register section had a bakery case of fresh goods and also (YAY!)- FREE stickers.
The menu isn't extensive, but certainly enough creativity to foster interest to any drink enthusiast. I purchased a Mocha (which I believe, comes from the local chocolate shop)and a Shroom Latte with honey and oat milk. The latte caught my interest, and I'm glad because it was SO good! No grittiness or weird aftertaste. You get the earthy flavor, but not smacked with "earth."

I absolutely LOVE this place. They always have the spices I can’t find in the grocery store and the tea selection is wonderful! I’ve definitely found a few of my new favorite teas, and when I’m just not sure what I want they are so helpful/insightful.

Beautiful little store with a great curated selection of teas and spices. They will steep anything you like in stock. One of my favorite places for loose tea. An absolute gem in the NP area!

I absolutely love this place. One of the only loose leaf tea shops in the area.

Despite being a small location, they have a large variety of teas to choose from, as well as fun coffee and tea drinks.

The staff are all incredibly friendly, and even if it's busy there's very little wait.

I visit as often as I can, and highly recommend it to anyone that likes tea.

A great place with a big selection of spices and teas. I also got rose lavender matcha and it was delicious. Mind you I am not a huge matcha fan. The girls who work there are super friendly and helpful.

Really lovely tea and coffee place. Loved that they have pumpkin spice latte made with tea, super great idea for those who don't like coffee yet would like the pumpkin spice flavor. Very friendly people working there and pastry had homey taste

Charming from a distance; walking in I feel hugged by calm, pleasantness, and good cheer. The teas are phenomenal. The shopkeepers are super friendly and highly knowledgeable. You should come here, even if it's out of your way. Best tea shop ever!

Love my experience here. I was assisted by the gentleman in the shop and introduced me to the most delicious beverage ever. The atmosphere is very chill, inviting, and the service was done with a smile. I am not from around here but if ever I’m around the area this will be my go to place to get one of the best coffees I have ever tried. Thank you and hopefully I’ll get to visit a couple more times before I head back home!

I walked in not a big coffee or tea person, but after my first visit, I could see myself being one! The staff was friendly and helpful…they coached me through what I liked and didn’t, in an effort to find the best drink fit for me. I left with a tasty tea in my hand and a smile on my face.
I was with a self proclaimed ‘matcha latte snob’, and while we watched the staff was prepare their drink, They remarked “wow, she is making it the right way…” A sip or two later, “this is the best matcha latte I’ve ever had!”
Will be back anytime I’m in town!

This place is wonderful! Excellent tea selection, delicious tea lattes and baked goods. The ambiance is spot on and the owners and employees are all so welcoming and knowledgeable. We loved the tea lattes so much we came back everyday we were in town and even bought the tea to take home with us!

Beautiful little shop with teas and spices, where you can buy them loose or get a cup of custom tea to drink. Its minimalistic uncluttered design makes you relax the moment you walk in, and smelling all the teas puts you in a beautiful mental space. Staff is friendly, and the tea is delicious. Its definitely one of my favorite experiences in New Paltz

Cozy warm shop . Chris and Carinn are knowledgeable tea sommeliers/ Aficionados in loose tea /spices. Community mindful and creative with drinks to include wonderful seasonal lattes, coffee, and tea blends.
Baristas are vibrant and pleasant.

Really cute friendly shop. They have a wall of teas and spices. You can select your tea from the wall and they brew it on the spot for a fresh hot or iced tea! Soy milk is free but they also have oat, macadamia, coconut and pistachio milk for a very reasonable charge.

Adorable tiny shop with great tea selection. You can pick any loose leaf tea for drinking on the spot, or buy it by the ounce to take home. Their fall tea mixes are delightful.

So many great loose leaf tea blends to choose from! Price point is fair and allows good sampling variety. Onsite iced tea option was awesome!

Stopped here on a whim for coffee and so glad I did. The mocha was made with Krause's chocolate, like actual chunks of chocolate in the bottom of my drink, worth the trip and money. Added bonus of loose spices and teas for purchase, ended up getting samplers of salts and peppercorns as a gift for family. Great atmosphere for a quick coffee on the run
