I have to travel out of Dutchess County just to get some decent food over. Love this place as I have been coming here since it opened. Great food for after hiking in the mountains or walking around the village. The place is decorated nicely, and bathrooms could use more cleaning, tho. I always get the $15 bowl and samosa. Delicious.

What a wonderful restaurant! The bowls (especially Prema bowl) were so flavorful and the portion sizes were great. We also really enjoyed the dosa which was perfectly crispy and at the same time soft. Our server recommended the Krishna matcha tea which was simply a delight. Can not recommend this restaurant enough for vegan/vegetarian food. Must try!

This is a wonderful spot to stop for a quick bite to go or to sit and eat. As soon as you enter, you can smell the food. The choices are made with fresh, healthy, quality ingredients. There are a plethora of choices. You can also make your own bowl, choosing a base, protein, and veggies. You can't go wrong with a warm samosa and the sauces that come with it, absolutely delicious! The staff is very friendly and helpful. And the environment is warm and inviting. They even have a piano in front of the window for live music. If you're in New Paltz and enjoy authentic Indian food or want some yummy vegan / vegetarian options, you must check out this restaurant.

Delicious Indian food (this is coming from an Indian who grew up in India and is *rarely* delighted by food at Indian restaurants in the US) with tons of vegan options. Delightful people who own and run this place, the decor and atmosphere are very welcoming and cheerful. Highly recommend the kofta and samosa. Get a bowl so you can try a variety of grains, veggies, dals, etc. Food is fresh and feels wholesome inside the body. The make-your-own bowl option makes this a great place for all. Also love the use of compostable bowls and cutlery. Definitely visit if you are in New Paltz.

I'm giving this five stars. The food is kind of average. Very minimal spice. Reminds me of the stuff you could get at a hari Krishna free lunch. But the service and the heart of the servers here is six stars. Just for the energy and the nice vibe it's worth eating there. And of course the food is good enough and healthy etc. I'll be back.

Food was great!! As a NYCer I have lots of Indian options at home
but a lot of Indian food doesn’t sit well with me and gives me indigestion, or is too spicy (as a Polish person I have low spice tolerance), but the food here settled in really well, wasn’t too spicy, and was a great combination of my favorite things - samosa, eggplant, chickpeas etc.

So glad I stopped in!

Lovely place in New Paltz. We found this restaurant by accident when searching for vegetarian place. I am glad we visited here. There is no parking available, only option is metered street side parking.
Food was amazing, quality and quantity was plentiful. I would definitely recommend to try Mango Lassi and Prema Bowl.

I came across this little gem first day of the year, during short visit to New Paltz. They offer lovely and delicious take out and dine in options plus locally brewed kombucha.

The Dosa is a rare commodity to come by outside Indian community restaurants. Highly recommended Vegi Pakora and Kufta. Kufta cashew-tomato sauce is a sublime work of art, in my opinion. Or else i am in a good mood today 🤭

Enjoy it while you have it🍻

Happy 2023 everyone!

I have lived in the area for a few years and only recently found out that a new vegan spot opened up. I haven’t explored much with Indian food, but I was excited to try out something new. I loved this place from the moment I walked in. I was promptly greeted, and the server who was helping me was so welcoming and sweet. She went through all of the options available, thoroughly explained items that I was unsure about, and helped me create a bowl. She also recommended a chai latte, which ended up being truly one of the best chai lattes I’ve ever had. Everything I ordered was amazing. I can sometimes be a picky eater, but there was nothing on this plate that I did not enjoy every bite of. If anything, I’m sad that it took me this long to stop in. I will absolutely be back, and be sure to tell everyone I know to stop in. I’m so happy that you set up shop in New Paltz, and I will surely be back soon ❤

Decided to order and so glad we did. Delicious paneer and kofta bowls and the Somoza were a real treat. Gently spiced and nice flavor. Definitely will be back for more

Honestly this was one of my favorite vegan food I've had in New York. Large portions, big selection of freshly made vegetable heavy dishes. All options are plant based except the paneer which is real cheese *_*.

Couldn’t believe this chipotle style Indian vegan joint existed in such a flung out place! Highly recommend the paneer dosa. And wow the mango lassi (vegan) had the same taste as the home made mango juices in india. Fantastic place, der serves more traction.

I was very pleased with the food at Krishna Kitchen. The person in charge, who is from South Africa, carefully stepped us through the choices and made it possible to have a delicious blend of flavors. The vegan mango lassi was also a treat.

Great vegetarian lunch here! Recommend the bowl (make your own!) and pakoras!

Food was satisfying. The staff made solid recommendations on creating our own bowl and it was a quick and comfortable service. Highly recommend for a casual laid back and nourishing lunch!

This review was long overdue. We were on our way back to NJ from a road trip and were looking for a Jain restaurant and that’s how we bumped into this vegan heaven. The food is amazing and to quote my mum- “this is the best meal she has had in her multiple visit to US”. We order quite a few items including samosas and fritters and they were super flavorful. It’s not your typical Indian place so comparing it to one won’t be fair. If someone wanted to experience the vegan Indian food without compromising on flavors Indian cuisine has to offer, this place is a must visit. Hope to be back soon!

Amazing! We had five people and every single person just loved it. For one of our new guests, the food was delicious and she really liked her smashed Samosa bowl. Another new guest said that the dessert was amazing, liking the mix of sugar and the syrup to dip. Highly recommend!

Super, super tasty! A LOT of restaurants could learn something by just sampling a variety bowl. Tasty, healthy, oh yeah and vegan to boot. One of my favorite restaurants. Build your own or choose from a fun menu. Krishna latte also delish.
