New Martinsville Animal Hospital

New Martinsville Animal Hospital is truly one in a million. They take their patients seriously, they will put in the work to make sure your animals are treated to the best of their abilities, and they are always so nice. We have two dogs we bring to them, one of which is a senior pup who gets severe separation anxiety when she’s not close to her owner. The vets and techs are the only people we’ve been able to find where she feels comfortable enough to go with them, and doesn’t show any signs of distress after a visit. They’ve given her medications that have made her golden years pain free, and helped her regain her urge to play and run at the age of 13.

In a different instance, my younger dog ate a toxic substance and had to be taken to an emergency hospital about 2 hours from home during the middle of the night. The emergency vet said that it would be in my dogs best interest to continue receiving treatment through out the day, but it was physically impossible for us to be away from home for that long. We ended up contacting New Martinsville Animal Hospital, and they were able to have my dog continue receiving blood treatment at their office, it was an absolute life saver. Not to mention my other dog also loves everyone in the office, and is the only dog I know that is genuinely excited to go to the vet.

They are super kind and helpful regarding rescheduling. If you decide to switch vets, they have no problem transferring your animals medical records over to them. The only catch is that they can be expensive, but if you can afford it, it is absolutely worth every cent. I can’t thank them enough for everything they’ve done for us.

They got my dog in right away and fixed him right up. People were nice and prices were good too!

New Martinsville Animal Hospital is great inside and out. This is a one doctor clinic and they do their best to help everyone. People have to understand that there is only so much that can be done with a one doctor clinic. Just because you don’t see the doctor does not mean that the pets are not being care for. The staff is very knowledgeable. There is a shortage of staff from doctors and staff. I will be back. Me and my pets thank you all for your hard work.

I brought my sick cat in, phoebe, only place to fit her in quickly. Sadly it was too far gone and we would be spending thousands of dollars and the workers expressed this, didn’t try to trick us into spending money. So we went ahead and decided that her being out to sleep was the best idea for her. They took her in, got her arm catheter in and I was able to be in the room. I held my baby for about 10 minutes while she slowly dosed off from the anesthesia. Soon the dr came in, she was very nice. She injected my baby as I held her and felt her leave in my arms. She waited a few seconds before taking phoebe to the back. Once brought back out to our car, she was in a very nice box for a burial, and they gave us a clay paw print of her two front paws with her name. Although I was sad I was very appreciated of everything the staff had done. I just now got a card in the mail from the vets office, it was very heartfelt and signed by the Dr and staff. This place is very considerate and overall they made the process very easy. Wish it wouldn’t have happened but it did, and they did amazing at their job.

They've been our vets since Dr. Barnes opened! The new owners have THE MOST caring staff I've had the displeasure of meeting. Let me explain, Baylee (15) is or was, my parents beloved furbaby. She stopped breathing while I was visiting from out of state. I called. Within 15 minutes Baylee was crossing the rainbow bridge. I was allowed to cradle her in her favorite blanket the whole while. XO

We have been here for three different cats, shots and one euthanasia in total and have been very satisfied with them through it all. Took our newest cat in for shots today, still doing park and wait outside but we were there about ten minutes total.

They are so thoughtful. When two of our kittens passed away, they were so sweet and understanding. Their courtesy goes above and beyond 5 stars, their kindness and service is immense. We mourn the loss of our babies but their kindness is a candle in the dark, a star in the sky

We made them our primary care for our dog. They got him in the next day of us calling with our concerns. They were very nice and caring. They listened to our concerns and questions. Very reasonable price. Highly recommend!

They are wonderful very good with my dog. He was injured they saw him same day and gave me meds and explained everything! Highly recommend!

So glad to have found this vet. After calling 6 different vets asking for our dog to be seen for suspected lymes disease, this was the only vet willing to see him and work him in without waiting at least two weeks to one month. He was treated and back to 💯 in no time. Definitely recommended!

They care about your animals and they are very blunt and will give you good and bad just in case it comes down to that

When I found Kitty in distress they didn't hesitate to tell me to get her in now even though they were booked. Unfortunately she had saddle thrombus and there was no saving here. The staff there was very compassionate and kind. They will definitely be the ones I go to for any future fur babies our house gets.

They were very compassionate and gentle with my 17 year old dachshund when it came time to put him to rest. All it took on my part was a phone call. After a very sad drive, my little guy was resting peacefully. I greatly appreciate the way they handled everything.

My cat, Danzig, wasn't feeling well and they saw him on minimal notice. The staff was extremely thorough and super nice. 100% recommend them.

Very fast and friendly service. I love that you call when you arrive. They come get your animal do what needs to be done. All while I take care of phone calls/bills.

They were excellent my dog is now home and doing better..Todd says thank you all ladies for letting him hangout and get better:)

They are great! My latest visit. I had to had a fur baby put down. I was able to spend time with her. And talk to her. And be there during the whole process.
