Colorado Welcome Center

The Colorado Welcome Center in Lamar was really inviting! Shannon was a resource for all things southeastern Colorado, as well as the history of the town itself. As I work in a welcome center back home in western Kansas, it was nice to also understand how Colorado operates their tourism centers.

The restrooms were very clean. The place was decorated nicely with its historic charm, and the train out front is a sight to behold!

What a nice people here. The best welcome was received as a visitor. Nice small and historical place. A must stop by place.

Tourist information center in restored railroad depot. Helpful folks. Tesla Supercharger and highspeed CCS. Adjacent park and nearby restaurants.

Very nice place to stop for a break and/or some information about the area. Listen to the ambient music playing in the background as you walk around. Plenty of parking and one can even charge their electric vehicle. Let the kids run through the adjacent Enchanted Forest too.

Don was extremely knowledgeable and resourceful in helping us plan our stay in Colorado. He was very kind and it was obvious he loves his job. The center was very organized and well labeled with resources and travel planning. Stop by for free resources on Colorado vacation spots! Free wifi and clean restrooms. Close to a coffee shop and picnic area.

The volunteers that work there were extremely friendly. The steam engine outside is in great condition, and there isn't a tall fence in front of it that blocks your view.

Wonderful warm and knowledge staff. Tons of brochures and info on the entire state. And a free library! Worth visiting on the way in to Colorado!

Well informed volunteers, plentiful maps, brochures, etc. Free Wi-Fi access. Clean restrooms and a drinking fountain that accommodate thermos bottles.

Best place in southeast Colorado for tourism information. Clean restrooms. Free Wi-fi.

Great place for a picnic! Restaurants and Starbucks within walking distance.
