Boise National Forest

We stayed in Peace Creek for labor day weekend. Well worth the difficult drive to get there. Clean restrooms, great site with Creek access and the views are amazing.

Deer Creek Road Trail.

Sunny, blues skies. Starting temperature mid to upper 50s. Ending temp low 70s. Sandy trail. Had a couple of creeks to cross. Biggest creek crossing, use rocks to step on and branches to hold onto when crossing.

I camp in the Boise Mountains frequently. Beautiful forrest. Food, sleep, exercise all is better in the Boise Mountains. Take the drive to peace & tranquility.

Went on a beautiful three hour hike. It was perfect for fall as the east hill was bathed in sunshine while the west hill was covered in snow. Relatively easy hike with beautiful views along the river. I would suggest starting early as the hike is almost four hours there and back. The drive up to the trail was filled with gorgeous vistas.

Absolutely love sledding above Idaho City, Id. If you haven't been to this area its a must! Rich history and very fun trails you will be so glad you did!!!

Beautiful but a little crowded due to combat season for fly fishing.

Beautiful setting to kick back and chill, fishing was great, camp site was quiet and peaceful with no neighbors for about 80 yards, couldn't have been better

I mean, how much better can you get than the Boise National Forest? Simply gorgeous mountains, beautiful rivers and awesome trails. As is in Idaho everything is very accessible and there is something for EVERY level of explorer. This is one of the reasons I love living in my Boise

We camped at Black Rock campground and it was absolutely beautiful. It's right by the river, so a quick walk will get you to a nice little area to cool down. I can't say enough good things about this campground.

I live in California and we are dry! If ,I were too rinse my porch off the police would be called! J K, but dirty looks for sure.
Boise, has Water,Water,Water and More Water. There is so many beautiful spots too fish and Kayak. The peace and serenity that this place has given me is hard too put on paper. Large Mouth, Small Mouth and trout are fun too catch on our kayaks. Don't miss out on the beauty of Boise's Lakes, streams and Resivors.

Beautiful area. To bad it was so smokey this trip. We just love it here year round.

4 days of camping , hunting and hiking with family

Lucky peak reservoir. It is a beautiful place this time of year.
Bald Eagles and Hawks flying around.

Beautiful place and not crowded. Was very clean and well kept.

Arrowrock Reservoir recreation area. The fishing can be very productive. The scenery can be amazing. I love coming here. Only 25 miles from Boise, It's a fantastic get away and opens the door for a driving and site seeing adventure.

Beautiful and breathtaking. I hope people that move here appreciate what Idaho has to offer.

Love this forest! Streams, rivers and lakes nestled in the thick trees.

Drove up to a high ridge on Snowbank Mountain, to watch the moon's shadow race toward us, initiating the total solar eclipse.
Was prepared to rough it. But there were lots of level places to pitch a tent, and the Forest Service had lots of porta-potties there, for the crowds.

4) In the shadow of a tree, we can see dappled sunlight. During moments of partial eclipse, the crescent sun creates crescent dapples.
