Black Sands Resort and Campground

We were sick of winter and drove down to see the water and have a break. We were so glad to be able to eat at Black Sands. The food was delicious. We had burgers and fries. Yum. And the people were so friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Really nice people. The owner and the waitress are very friendly. Enjoyed talking with them. They answred our questions about the area. Love the restaurant. It has a good feeling. I was expecting the hamburgers to be an average burger but to my surpise they tots and burger were really good.

That was my last Black Sands Burger under our families ownership. It was delicious!
Hopefully the new owner Bill, will take care of the place and the patrons like my Grandma and Grandpa did. It was great to see and hear about the many good times people had there over 50+ years!

My Family went for the labor day weekend , What an amazing place. If you need a sabatical or just some fishing therapy or Just want to build some more memories with your family .....This is your Place!!!!!!!!!*************** TEN STARS

Fathers day weekend!

Lacked items we generally like to order. Salad bar would be nice but smell/taste was way off so couldn't bring myself to eat the salad. Had to get up to ask for drink refills. Usually a wait person would come check to see if we need a refill. Other food we ordered was great.

If anyone is interested (and good at it) it seems employment for waiters/waitresses and bar tendering is a great need at this establishment. 😀

Looking forward to giving a better description of our experience in the future. We know it can be done.

Everything you could want in an unpretentious lakeside resort, marina, bar, RV park, and restaurant. Nice stocked lakeside store. It was great before, but it has improved quite a bit. Great burgers. Some of the best fried oysters you've ever had and I grew up next to the gulf. Love this place.

Good food nice people but gave me trouble about my service dog

Great place to grab a bite to eat after a day on the lake or camping.

I had the pleasure of visiting black sands resort bar and restaurant. I didn't order any food but took the opportunity to try their bloody Mary and I'm pleased I did. It was delicious! It wasn't like most places made from some premixed concoction.

This drink was made with each individual ingredient and spice. Then finished off with fresh tasting asparagus, pepperoncini and large green olives!

The service was fast, friendly and included great conversation with some football games playing in the background.

Love their burgers and fries! Better than anything in town. Produce is fresh and Fries are my favorite! I had the Jerk chicken sandwich.. sooo good. Large fully loaded salads are amazing as well!!

Love what Bill has done to the place. I've been coming here for close to 20 years. The whole atmosphere has changed. Food is amazing. I always stop for a bite when I am at the lake.

It's a very comfortable atmosphere. Enjoyed sitting at the bar while looking over the lake. Food, pool table, dance floor & music

While fishing at CJ Strike my friend and I beached my boat in the sand right in from of the resort restaurant. Anchor set.
Enjoyed adult beverages and a prime rib sandwich, fries and salad. Excellent service. Outstanding meal. Clean. Friendly staff and owner. Highly recommended. Make your reservations for rv or tent camping at least 2 weeks in advance. Dry camping and full hook ups available. A definite gem of a place to enjoy. Saturday they have a breakfast smorgasbord that is awesome!

Went fishing with my nephew and his dad got skunked, stopped by this place for some food I highly recommend the BSR Burger. 10/10 I will be back for that.

Absolutely one of a kind experience. Coming during off season had its perks! The pristine serene feels we're just what this family prayed for. The sites all have a *spectacular view and the owner runs the place with his heart and soul. What a memorable stay to unplug with fishing, wading, ohv, and friendly folks to chat! ❤ 🙏🙏🙏We have found our new family tradition. Will add photos once downloaded!

Place has always been clean and great to camp with but recently they’ve opened a rental kiosk for paddle boards, paddle boats, water trampoline’s and other cool water experiences available for daily rental at a very reasonable price, now has a store with everything you need or forgot to purchase, the place is doing other remodels and additions which complement what they have already established incredibly well.
This is a great clean place to take a quick or extended vaca!!

Under new ownership and they are doing a wonderful job. The owner got up at 3a.m. to make lunches for all the bass tournament guys. Pretty cool in my opinion. Great food, cold drinks and a view of the lake. Beautiful
