Alto Ski Shop and Bar

This place is sick. Genius idea to have a ski shop and bar together. The bartender was very friendly! He made us some really good watermelon margaritas. I enjoyed playing pool and having shot skis with my best friend. It’s also a plus that it’s right next to the greenery room dispensary which has a smoke lounge outside!

Staff here was amazing! They got us all fitted quickly but really made sure each of us had exactly what we needed for a great ski experience. Prices were great too! Our family of 6 will definitely return!

We rented ski equipment from this shop. Better prices than Ski Apache. Super helpful staff! Went above and beyond! My son had received a new (to him) snow board for Christmas and had no experience waxing it. He showed it to them and one of the staff took him and the board and taught him how to wax and scrape it and had it in perfect condition by the time we left, and they did not charge us for it! Would definitely recommend!!

Easily the friendliest and cheapest option around. They were great to us everytime we came in, far better than the guys on the mountian and about a third of the price. My friend got a new board and they checked it out, sized it, and waxxed it for him. These guys are the absolute best in the region

This is such a cool spot! We bring our baby and let her roam around while we watch football and sip on a fun cocktail! Highly recommend!

ABSOLUTE HIDDEN GEM!! This bar was our favorite stop on our Labor Day Ruidoso trip. They have beer and liquor, plus tons of games. We played big jenga and cornhole, it was a blast. Great vibes! Thank y’all!! We will be back.

These guys are great! Quick, friendly service and good prices right at the foot of the mountain road up to Ski Apache. We had to cancel a day of skiing and they did not charge us for the day when we brought the equipment back that morning. This is definitely our place to rent!!

Man, the service they provide here is incomparable. Everyone was super friendly the moment we walked in. This is the second time we've rented from this place. We had problems with one of the bindings of the snowboard we rented out but once I called them they were quick to accept responsibility and offered a refund. I definitely recommend this place! Once I had my bindings replaced their equipment performed really well (we rented both skis and snowboard). The prices are also a lot cheaper than what ski apache offers, like way cheaper. Can't wait to be back!

We stopped by this afternoon to get ready to ski for our first time as a family tomorrow. All of the guys that worked there were extremely helpful as well as knowledgeable! They were extremely friendly and ready to answer any questions we had. They were not pushy at all about any gear. Very efficient service and some of the best customer service we’ve had in awhile. Kudos to the owners for these employees you’ve got!

Great folks are running the place. Nice place for a quick drink, good people to chat with. They have everything from skiing, hiking, biking, fishing, and skateboarding enjoyment.

Alto Ski Shop is without a doubt the best place around Lincoln County to rent ski equipment. Their exquisite service allowed friends and I to get the perfect individual rental skis/snowboards. Their incredibly hospitable service presents the customer with a wonderful and knowledgeable experience for anyone, especially "rookie" skiers/boarders. I would 10/10 recommend Alto Ski Shop to anyone looking to rent equipment for the slopes!

Really great ski shop. The workers care about the people who walk in the door and give great service. The prices for retail are surprisingly low and affordable. Bibs. Pants, gloves, everything you need to play in the snow. Rentals include skis, snowboards and demos in both. Super friendly. My go to ski shop.

Our first time skiing with our 3 kids...these guys and ladies were awesome at getting us fitted for everything. Very friendly and helpful! Prices were very affordable too!! We will definitely be back!!!!!

Staff was very knowledgeable and priced well below what you will get on the mountain. The staff is nice and you can ask them anything. I was new to everything and they got me all set up.
