Mac's Tavern

We were in Butte for the day, needed to grab lunch and found Mac's. What a great place to stumble upon! Our lunch was sooooo good and the staff super friendly. What a great little place! I wish I could have tried everything on the menu because our burger and Philly were DELICIOUS! And the fries...😋 Will absolutely eat here again next time we are in Butte!

Holy bison burgers how do I give more than five stars?

Let's skip all the friendly service, super clean, well designed - Mac's is all those things.

But the Bison Burger? Some magical diety annoints this dish - perfectly prepared with homemade bacon jelly and a pretzel bun. Hands down the best burger I have eaten. Ever.

Did I mentioned the honey butter? Mindblowing.

Go to Mac's. Order a bison burger. You'll be the happiest person in Butte.

The owner and the super friendly bartender were concerned that my meal was going to take a whole thirty minutes to cook because they had to make the polenta fresh and it was a new menue they were working on. Which is not an unreasonable amount of time for the fantastic meal I had anyway. The meal was delicious the beer selection was great. The service, staff, and atmosphere were worthy of gushing about. I'm not the kind d of guy who leaves a review willy nilly. This is a GREAT place.

We were in Butte for the Folk festival and stopped at Mac’s for dinner. They got pretty crowded while we were there, and our server kept the beers and water glasses full. Hi for a great time!!!

Party of 6 and everyone really liked their meal. Waitress was really great and all staff we talked to were very pleasant. I was shocked at the quality of the food! I was expecting a dirty dingy pub with pup fare. Interior is beautiful and clean! I had spicy penne pasta that it was really good! My wife had the stroganoff and she liked it and the taste I had was great! Very good experience and I look forward to going to Macs again when we return to Butte!

Yum! Stopped here on our drive home to Indiana from Washington state for a quick lunch on a sunny Sunday afternoon. I had the chicken caprese sandwich with the tomato soup. It was delightful and refreshing… and the tomato soup was the BEST tomato soup I have ever had! If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll be sure to stop back at Mac’s for another delicious meal!

AWESOME place! The atmosphere is great with brick, reclaimed wood and copper bar. The music is perfect for hanging out with friends and family. The drinks and friendly service can't be beat. The Salmon dinner is so much better than what I just had in Seattle. Can't wait to come back!

Comfortable atmosphere. Very good food. Friday seafood chowder is very tasty. They have some tasty burgers such as the parmesan asparagus burger. I love the sweet potato fries. Very nice owner. Great staff. An enjoyable experience.

It was my first time there. The service was commendable.

They were very busy, yet efficient.
I have to return to try the dinner menu.
I had a cup of the sea food chowder and enjoyed it very much.

Great food, lots of spirits from all over, a great atmosphere that has a clean new feel and an awesome staff.

Awesome! Drinks were good, service was good, food was great! We were stopping through from out of town and out hotel suggested here for late night dinner and drinks and it was the only place open other than fast food, so easy decision. I didn't have high expectations, but wow. I was blown away. The outside looks like a small hole in the wall bar, but walking inside is a complete different story. Food was seriously good. Highly recommend!

The atmosphere was great. The place has an industrial look to it mixed with historical preservation/ integrity. The staff was prompt and friendly. I ordered the burger and fries. So good. My fiancé ordered the poor mans bologna sandwich with homemade chips. To die for! We went in for lunch and would definitely go again. They had hooks under the bar for purses or coats and the plug ins for your chargers. Great for a meal or just hanging out.

Bartenders are super amazing. I can't even describe how great these girls were! They also know the drink selection very well. I didn't even pick out my own drink and they made a perfect drink every time. Super friendly. And really good food too!

The Steak and Ale soup is awesome! I also love the atmosphere and the staff. Conner, Jennifer and the cook today (didn't get his name) are friendly and polite. Nice to visit with. I will be back for the corn soup on the first Friday if I can. Love soups! Thanks team!

Great tap beer menu and a diverse assortment of liqueur, whiskey and gin and vodka. Haven't seen Japanese whiskey on the shelf in some time. Great food menu; everything prepared to order. The halibut fish and chips was amazing, especially when served with the homemade tartar sauce...had a nice anise note to it that complimented the fish. I do reccomend!

I thought this place was great! We had stopped at other drinking establishments around Butte, and when we walked into Mac's we were instantly made to feel very welcome by, not only our bartender Garret, but also the owners! We ended up going back for a second night in a row we had so much fun there. Many good drink options along with a knowledgeable and friendly staff! Atmosphere was unique and very nice as well. Thanks guys!

After waiting an hour for a table then being told our food would probably take an hour to cook at a different restaurant, we decided to give Macs a try. We got a table right away and drinks and order taken within 10 min. Despite being busy, Emily still managed to be very friendly and prompt. Brandi the cook can make a delicious Macs melt!!! These ladies were busting their butts to serve customers in a timely manner. They are both what great customer service is all about! This was our first time eating here and we’ll definitely be back next time we come to town.
