Thanks for accepting the 5 baby possums that had lost their mother. It is AWESOME to know that you care for our wildlife when needed!! Your receptionist was friendly and efficient, with a smile. Your vet was gentle with the babies, and polite to an old woman, hoping to keep them alive. Such a good experience. Thank you! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

This afternoon, I found (and was able to easily capture) a goldfinch in the middle of a busy road. I didn’t know whether the bird had suffered an injury or had an eye infection. Some very helpful, local licensed wildlife rehabilitators whom I contacted via the Department of Wildlife Resources website said the bird likely had a contagious eye infection and suggested I take the bird to Blue Ridge Wildlife Center to see if there was a chance she could be treated. It was a lovely drive to the Center from Herndon and once we arrived, a staff member met with us right away. There is a sign on the door requesting that if the “patient” being dropped off is a bird, to please call before entering the facility (to prevent the spread of contagious avian diseases) but before I could get my phone out of my pocket, the staff member opened the door to see how she could help. She was extremely kind and accommodating. Inside, the facility was very clean and seemed well equipped and the property was set up to handle many different wildlife rescue scenarios. As a wildlife lover, I’m so grateful places like Blue Ridge Wildlife Center exist.

The workers at Blue Ridge Wildlife Centre are very caring and knowledgeable about how to proceed from the phone call to bring in an injured animal. Can not say enough great phrases of praises on how they help heal and love our animal friends.

What an amazing resource and important place. Over the years we have brought various wild animals and seen the place go from a little farm house to a state of the art facility. The education you provide via social media and on site is invaluable. Thank you for everything you do and continue to do to improve the health for wildlife. The community is lucky to have you. Picture is the latest late night find of a one eyed owl.

I talked to Rachel she was kind. Even when we were telling her of all the mistakes we made caring for the baby duck overnight. DO NOT go by what internet tells you. We got all the wrong instructions online. I hope to hear good news about the little ducks recovery.

Working hospital for injured and sick wildlife. They also have a small free tour featuring several wild animals which were rescued and unable to be released: eagle, hawk, squirrel, owl, possum, turtles, etc. The tour takes around 10-15 minutes. Many knowledgeable volunteers will answer your questions. Donations accepted!

Wonderful place and extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff! We went for the wildlife walk, and the volunteer gave us the tour and told us about each animal. Our son had such a great time!! Highly recommend visiting this place to see some amazing animals.

Best Wildlife care ever! The Vets are thorough and quickly diagnose infections, heal and return animals to the wild. We recently brought in a box turtle with a swollen ear. The turtle has been tracked for over 30 years in an educational program with 8 recorded siting. It's our oldest recorded native turtle and most likely well over 30 years old! It's recorded as #26 in 1991 and named by a student "Kitty".
With in 5 minutes it was diagnosed - it was an old injury and was perfectly healthy. We were able to release the turtle on the same day! Its wonderful to have your help and excellent care to be able to keep wild things- wild and healthy!
Thank you Blue Ridge Wildlife Center - I appreciate all you do and so does #26-Kitty running wild again!

Had a bunny build a nest in a pot on my deck. Mama didn’t come back so I called and BRWC. Jennifer helped me assess the babies. We determined together through photographs that the babies did need to be fed soon so I bundled them up and took them the BRWC. Beautiful place, VERY nice people and MANY Thanks to Jennifer who helped me through the every exciting experience.

Absolutely love the amazing work the staff and vets do here! Creatures big and small, they treat with the same compassion. This was our second wildlife patient experience and continue to be in awe of their patience and knowledge.

Today I brought in a second baby squirrel that I found in our yard. (2nd one in 2 days, no mama around to take care of them) Everyone at BRWC is so kind and caring. Even knowing that the babies may not survive, I know they will be treated with kindness and compassion.

We've brought wildlife here on 2 occasions, and also attended an outreach 'fair' they held a couple of years ago. I will always try to support this organization as they do so much to help our wildlife. Everyone I've ever spoken to from Blue Ridge has been so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable and they truly care. We appreciate all they do!!

Amazing place that does amazing work for the animals we humans impact. Friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about helping nature. Hoping the little box turtle that tangles with my horse makes it. Thank you so much for caring. ❤
