El Azteca - Ashland

El Azteca Mexican restaurant is the best in Ashland. I didn't have to go far from my hotel. It's convenient to major streets. Food was delicious to our likings. Service was really genuine. I would return.

We have eaten at El Azteca since moving here in 2012. At that time the kids were little. The wait staff would always let us order things differently so the picky eaters could get what they wanted.

Now they get the regular meals and eat their fill...and eat chips and salsa by the bowl full.
The food is consistently good. The wait staff is great...many of them have watched our kids grow and stop by to say hello. We have watched many of the wait staff grow as well, lol (maybe I grow too, but I don't notice).

There is lots of space and they accomodate large parties easily and do a great job accomodating kids without disturbance to guests without kids who want a quiet relaxed meal.

Walking in, the atmosphere was welcoming and vibrant. The decor was lively and everything was clean. The waiter showed up immediately and quickly brought back our drinks and chips w/ salsa. Salsa a little watery but good flavor. The food showed quickly and was impeccable! Perfectly grilled, well seasoned, just fantastic. This was our first visit but we will definitely be returning!

Always come down here when I'm in the Richmond area. Flavorful food, quick service, and helpful staff. Plenty of choices for vegetarians and non-veg, alike. Dishes were too large for most, who had them packed, but apparently there was enough room for the churros. I understand that they were wonderful, although I wasn't fast enough to try one.

I generally don't like Mexican American food, so I wasn't excited to go here. I was pleasantly surprised that the food was actually quite good. The wait staff was so kind, and they were very organized amongst themselves. Great teamwork. Very clean establishment as well. It was very nice. I'm glad we went.

Extremely welcoming establishment. They make you feel like you've been invited to their home as special guests.

We were a little hesitant when we pulled up as the outside was a little underwhelming, but I'm glad we gave it a chance. Great food and even better service. They were very attentive and our food was in front of us within 15 minutes. 5 stars all around, don't let the outside fool you.

One of the best mexican restaurants in virginia in my opinion! Food is fast, amazing, and the staff is awesome. The place is always clean! Only downside is that I don't live close!

The best food you can eat. Service is amazing. You won't regret it. Prices aren't that high. But will most likely be returning every time I come to Virginia.

The service are very well educated on their food. More than willing to explain the difference to you. And they always make sure you like it if you don't like it don't bring you something different and it's just so colorful in there it's just really nice
