GraceBuilt Church

Gracebuilt became our church family shortly after my wife and I moved here 4 years ago. The teaching comes straight from the scripture. It is taught in a way that is easy to understand. The church has moved recently to the building across the street from Kmart and the new building is such a blessing. We hope to see you there soon!

First visit and can't wait to go back. Wish they had services throughout the week! I learned several things and that was more than I hoped for. Truly teaches from the Bible, not just preaches. The people are welcoming but also gave me space and allowed me to listen and worship. I really liked the music part of the service, as well. Uplifting and down-to-earth at the same time. This church shows faith, grace and teaches from the Bible. The facilities are well-kept. Don't let the outside of the building fool you. It's what's inside that matters. I'm praying I found my church home.

Verse by verse solid biblical teaching. Worship that uplifts the soul, solid children's ministry. I’ve been attending since 2015, have come to find the church to be a great group of people that have become family. I routinely leave both convicted and encouraged at the same time. I encourage you to come join us and hear about the Lord Jesus and how the gospel can change your life!

Awesome church! Easter Sunday was my first service there. I was welcomed with genuine hospitality. I never felt out of place or like an outsider. The services are easy to follow and broken down well. The worshiping is modern and up beat.

We attended GraceBuilt Church for the first time today. Leaving this review will hopefully be helpful to others as well as ourselves as we seek out a new church home.

* Music - The music was very good with modern worship music and two lead singers along with guitars, keyboard, and drums. The music was easy to follow along with and spirit-filled.

* Sermon - The church has an interesting approach to their sermons that I haven't seen before. Each week they focus on the next chapter of the Bible, beginning with Genesis and ending with Revelations. On this particular Sunday they studied Revelations 3, which can be a difficult Book but the pastor did a very good job with things.

* Length of Service - The service was a bit on the longer side than what we're typically used to (90 minutes) but the pastor gave a great message so that definitely helped.

* Kid's Ministry - This is one of the more important things to us so we paid close attention to our experience here.

Our kids enjoyed the opening worship music with us before they were prayed for and then brought to the kid's area. They had a good check-in system in place where they told us about their team all having background checks performed to ensure the kids were safe.

The only note here was that as new attendees, there was no wayfinding to help us identify where to go with our kids so we just had to kinda look around and hope we were going in the right direction. This is easy and inexpensive enough to fix, but it was a bit confusing for us.

Another reviewer left some comments about there being no windows and the childcare team being unprofessional. I can't comment on their experience, but there were windows (and plenty of light) and the team came across very professionally.

Our kids were in a room with the pastor's wife and they both had great things to say about their experience and all the great things they did and learned.

* Size - There are two services (9am and 11am). We attended the 9am service and I'd estimate there were between 50 and 100 people in attendance. Enough to have a good church family but not so much as to feel overwhelming.

* Welcome - One of the things we look for when attending a new church is identifying whether or not people recognize we are new to the church. Our thought here is that if a church is so large as to not recognize somebody new, it is likely too large for us. Nobody reached out to welcome us or introduce us to folks at the church, but I'm thinking this was more due to people having other things going on vs. being too large.

Overall, we had a very good experience. The pastor seemed very approachable and genuine in his sermon, and the people seemed friendly.

If you're looking for a church that studies the scripture closely and has a modern worship style, you should definitely give GraceBuilt a chance!

If you are looking for a bible believing and bible preaching church, then look no further! My wife and I were looking for a church where our faith could continue to grow and we definitely found it at GraceBuilt Church. Pastor Josh Akin brings the scriptures to life and in a way that can easily be understood. I have been involved in church most of my life, but I have never understood the scriptures as I have since being at GraceBuilt. Thank God there are still some pastors out there that still preach the word! Thank you Pastor Josh!

GraceBuilt is a non-denominational, Biblically -Based fellowship that is focused upon "Being the Church." It's Celebration through Worship is contemporary in nature and the Messages are practical and applicable to life. The atmosphere is relaxed, personable and rooted in reality. I have greatly been blessed by serving at GB and look forward to growing deeper in our relationships together as we seek to be the "Kingdom Now" in the Spirit of Acts 2:42 eagerly awaiting the "Kingdom Come."

My husband and I have been attending Gracebuilt for close to a year now. We moved to the area, and went "church shopping!" Isn't that what all Christians do? Frist I googled churches in the area that I thought would interest both my husband and I. I got it narrow down to 2 churches. Gracebuilt and one other one.
We went to the other one for 2 Sundays.
We got in the car to leave and we both said at the same time, "we have to check out the other church!"
The next Sunday we went to Gracebuilt and have never thought of going anywhere else! When the praise music is so filled will true spritual voices the Holy Spirit shows up! 1st thing that made me say this is it! That when you sing heart felt praises to Our Lord, He is Pleased and He shows up! You can FEEL the Holy Spirit descend on God's people.
We were greeted with warm and friendly faces, BUT what the greatest thing was , when Pastor Josh got up to speak and said if you have a bible turn to....... If you don't have a bible we have some in the back if you would like one. Then he read a verse or two and stopped and explained the verse, how it was then what it meant for us today! I left there feeling Spiritually fed! Teaching the Word straight from the Word, how AWESOME is that!!??Thanks be to God for leading us to our new beautiful brothers and sisters, our new church family!!

We've been attending this church for almost a year and they always make you feel welcomed. I'm glad that I get the word of God is this church! I love all the brothers and sisters in this church!

Gracebuilt was an answer to years of prayer when we found it about a year ago. This nondenominational church has its priorities in line with Jesus teachings. Whether you are curious about biblical Christianity or a long time follower seeking a place to serve, this church has a heart to serve and to make a community network of people learning and applying God's word.
Pro's:
*Biblical teaching and a sincerely love of JESUS.
*Respectful&/Appropriate interest in guests and each other (no awkwardness or fakeness. Not cultlike and you won't be stalked for visiting)
*full program for children (of ALL ages, energy levels, and capabilities)
*REAL people (seldom use of moderate christianese),(we[the congregation] sing loud and sometimes don't sound just right), we have sins, struggles, questions, hang ups, disabilities, things we look forward to losing/having restored in the realization of eternity.

Cons:
*Hidden gem
*In the process of building to suit our needs/renting for a start up church that has grown significantly
*small enough to not offer multiple service times (this is a pro for some)

Very accommodating members. Strong priority on children's teaching. Pastor teaches directly from the Bible, verse by verse.

Ok place. Need to be a little more organized with the daycare side. And more office help all week, instead of 2 or 3 days a week.

Wonderful church with great children's program and leadership! Truly walking the walk!

This is a Sprite filled church. I started attending two weeks ago and look forward to each message.

GraceBuilt is a place that everyone feels welcome. It's a place where anyone can find their place if they want to.
