The store owner was such a fantastic individual. He was helpful, friendly, and made sure you felt welcome!! There are plenty of great gifts for everyone in the family. So much so that we visited the store on two separate occasions. Thank you so much for being so kind and welcoming, Beach King!!

This shop was a breath of fresh air compared to some of the other beach shops close by. Very nice brands, good selection for a smaller store. And the owner was so courteous and helpful. He even made a recommendation for another local business to go to just down the way. Despite being at this location for only a few years, he explained he was right down the road, closer to the beach for almost 40 years. If you're looking for better quality and not your typical beach store clothing, definitely stop here.

BEST souvenir shop in Fort Lauderdale hands down!!! They have high quality clothes and souvenirs compared to other shops in the area that charge the same price. This shop has Life is Good shirts (some with custom Fort Lauderdale text), comfort color t-shirts and long sleeves, Salt Life, Huk, and a lot more brands/souvenirs! Owner was very friendly and helpful, not pushy at all. My mom and I come to Ft.Lauderdale every 1-2 years and this will be our go-to shop from here on out! Totally recommend to all tourists or visitors!

Shop has plenty to look at , great for beach Go'ers. Owner is super Curtious and helpful! Very nice trinkets for those stopping through town. Got some nice Keychains for the wife and kid!

Great little family owned store. Serving the community for over 40 years. My family has been coming here since the early 90's. Though the location has changed, it still has a great selection of nice beach items, T-shirts, hats, stickers, etc. Owner is super humble and friendly. Top notch establishment 👍

We visit this lovely shop every year during our stay at Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. The owner is so kind and generous! They have beautiful and unique clothing, decor, jewelry, gifts, sunscreens, bags, beach wear and more! Wonderful shop! I was looking for a local business where I could pick up some Ft.Lauderdale souvenirs. This absolutely fit the bill! Great selection, and the owner is incredibly helpful. He even assisted me in selection some locally made items, and offered some great information about them. I would definitely recommend this shop!

I absolutely loved this place!! I’ve worn Life is Good shirts for many years. They are so comfortable and they make me smile. They have a HUGE selection, more than I’ve ever seen in a store before. The owner helped us find our sizes and was super friendly. Highly recommended!

Awesome store! Found everything I need and more. Will come back in the future. Store lady helped find a manatee jewelry for me. But there was none. No big deal. Found other jewelries. Love my pearl bracelet and sailboat earrings.

Store is located on the west side of Commercial Blvd just outside the main downtown area of Lauderdale by the Sea. Building has a turtle painted on the stucco. A short walk and we found quality brands (Salt Life, Huk, and Southern Tide) among others. Owner was a big help and they had a great selection. Very happy we saw them on Commercial Blvd and walked there. Highly recommend.

I live in Lauderdale by the Sea and this store had been at another location, further toward the beach on Commercial Blvd. but recently relocated to its new location in the Ace Hardware shopping strip. I don't usually go into "tourist-y" stores but yesterday a friend and I enjoyed a kind of tourist-y morning. Breakfast at Aruba, shopping at Beach King and then gelato at Pan'e Dolci Italian Bakery. I love giving my money to my town's small businesses.
This Beach King location is smaller than the original one. It is light, bright, clean and run by a terrific guy named Horash (phonetic) (like Horatio but, as he said, his folks didn't want to pay for the extra vowels). Most of the clothing names are not very well known (to me), but he says a lot of the clothing he sells are made from sustainable sources; i.e., some tanks are made from re-purposed plastic water bottles. He also has a lot of clothing - dresses, zip-ups, etc. - that are UVA protectant. Prices for those items are higher. We suggested that he advertise that particular feature of the items more prominently than on just the small clothing tags so that the price would be more understandable. My friend and I are not in retail, but to us it seemed like reasonable suggestion to help him sell the more expensive stuff. Then there are the kitschy items: beach bags, coasters, kitchen towels, caps, etc., etc. Reasonably priced, but some a littler high.
This was our experience and we did love it there. Regardless of your pocketbook, it's a great, great store to check out. The store is cleaned and sanitized often throughout the day and we felt very safe visiting. And, if you have any suggestions to offer Horash, he's is totally open to and appreciative of any and all.

Wondering what happened to that great shop on SW corner of Commercial & El Mar ? Getting pushed out of spot had for over 30 years ….. it moved up the street! Great quality gifts/souvenirs - not junk that you’d get at the tourist trap shops. Shop is much smaller than original, but an excellent shopping experience & friendly owner. Highly recommend a walk over for a 5 star shopping experience & nice LBTS gear.

Best beach store in LauderdalebytheSea. Super nice and helpful owner and very good quality merchandise.
The place down the street on the corner has poor quality junk at the same price.
