Aunt Catfish's On the River

My family and I have been coming to Aunt Catfish every time we visit Florida for the last 10 years or so. We have never had a bad meal! The food quality and service are always outstanding. The pecan crusted chicken is my go-to, so tasty! We just recently had their Sunday brunch for the first time and it was by far the best brunch I've ever had! A huge selection to choose from and everything was hot and delicious. Do yourself a favor and visit here immediately!

Loved the cinnamon rolls! Our daughter got the kids meal salmon and it was the best looking kids meal we’ve ever seen. All of the food we received was TOP NOTCH! Our waiter got to our table and said “Hi I’m Cousin Carl!” It made us laugh! This place is fantastic!!

This place has awesome lunch with great price and delicious food. Kids playground out side and a great view.
But you don’t want to share. They charge you $10 sharing fee. Order your own and enjoy!
Food price is reasonable and fresh.

Aunt Catfish’s was a real treat! You can’t miss the homemade cinnamon rolls that are warm and delicious! The “fixins bar” had wonderful salads, cornbread, beans and cheesy grits! The catfish was cooked to perfection! Service was great and good portions!

A must go when you're in Daytona!!! Everything is amazing. Best crab cakes in the state and such a unique and delicious tartar sauce recipe. Great homemade Cinnamon rolls and quality side dishes from the fishmarket bar (comes free with pretty much any main plate).

The staff is so very professional and kind. One time, my husband and I came during a rush with a long wait, and I was allowed to get a Cinnamon bun to hold me over (I hadn't eaten all day and blood sugar was low). Love this place!

Daytona's best fried catfish, without a doubt. This full service, full menu Southern style seafood eatery combines a great view on the Halifax River with authentic down south cooking at a high level. They also serve a Sunday brunch that can compete with any. The Cinnamon rolls are famous, hot and fresh and made in front of your eyes and served piping hot. Lovers of Southern cuisine will love this restaurant. A must do when in the Daytona Beach area.

Sunday, all you can eat brunch buffet. Food was very good and a great view of the water and dock. Omelets, pancakes, French toast and eggs are made to order as you wait. Catfish nuggets were delicious and catfish fingerlings were small catfish..cooked a little hard, but still good. Dont let the look of the biscuit fool you it was good, fluffy and soft. Menu says kids 7 and older $12 or $13 for buffet, but the waiter said "all" children so make sure you ask. He did charge my 3 year old grandson the full price.

Love this place! A local treasure, with great views of the river and even better food. Can’t beat the fixins bar, especially those cinnamon rolls. Service is always prompt and friendly. Most recently, we enjoyed breakfast here on a weekday. I got the Traditional Tossed Salad with Grilled Chicken. My partner got the delicious Drive-In Burger, which actually uses beef from Gaff’s, a really great local meat market. Highly recommend both dishes.

Great service! Went there on valentines day and was shocked we were able to get a table right away! Very organized.... the food was yummy!

We went for the Sunday Brunch. There was a little bit of a wait but we enjoyed the view of the river and the live music. Once inside we were greeted with very friendly staff. The food was amazing!!! There is an omelette station where you pick exactly what you want in it and the also make pancakes and French toast to order. The fried catfish and cornbread is a meal in itself! Highly recommend!!!

I love the idea of the Fixins, which is all you can eat extra sides. I had the Gator Burger, and it was very good. It was Bike Week, and we sat outside, so there was some noise. Our server Sébastien, he was great, right there for the heater, coffee, anything else we needed.

We were on our way to Daytona beach when we ran into to this gem. The food was great and our kiddos loved the outside play area. We sat “outside” it was heated and we could watch our kiddos play. The “salad bar” or “sides bar” was a great perk. The corn bread and Cinnabons were amazing. Loved the food, the atmosphere and service. We’ll be back to try brunch.

Went for early Sunday brunch. The food selection was perfect! There was something for everyone. The chef on the griddle was great! He made Mickey shaped pancakes for the kids! The famous cinnamon rolls were delicious, light, fluffy and perfectly sweet.

One of iconic places in Volusia county. Definitely great atmosphere, worth the wait! Food is always top notch. Service is impeccable and also cinnamon rolls are to die for! If you are around go and try!

Amazing diff styles of catfish! I was wondering why aren’t they giving me a knife to eat with it, but you just need to eat everything with a fork! We had the best service here as well. Highly recommend!

Absolutely super delish food and great atmosphere at this place. Must try! We had the Unicorn Fish Cracker style! And of course the famous cinnamon rolls!

One Word. Consistency .
Most of our favorite restraints in Daytona have had their extreme UPS and downs. Never aunt catfish.
A lot of times they get the bad wrap as a tourist trap but honestly they are just as steady in the off season with locals than most.

Speed was insane in and out
Great atmosphere
Decently affordable (more so than most places)
Desert is amazing
Fixings bar is amazing

What can I say. If you like fresh seafood and a good time. Go!

If you are thinking about trying this place out, heres your sign to TRY IT! You wont be disappointed! Absolutely EVERYTHING I tried here was exceptionally delicious. I wish I could buy their pickled beets by the gallon they are so good! The sides bar was all delish and the cinnamon rolls, ohhhhh those cinnamon rolls are HEAVENLY! Slightly crisp exterior with a light fluffy center coated in a perfectly balanced glaze. Out of this world good. The blackened scallops were perfectly cooked with just the right amount of blackening spice. Sweet potato fries were crispy but super soft and tender on the inside. The others at my table had the mahi mahi and the unicorn fish and both were spectacular! Those hush puppies are fab as well. Our server Ella was so kind and helpful to us first timers. She did a wonderful job! Cant wait to come back and hopefully try the Sunday brunch!!!

I usually get the shrimp or other seafood dishes here. Today I got the lunch meatloaf, mushroom gravy and mashed potatoes. It was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Perfect flavor everything, plus the fixin's bar.
