Difference Chinese Restaurant

WOW! Best Chinese food I’ve had in years and I’ve been to China many moons ago 😀. The wonton soup was delicious- FRESH wontons in a light broth that was not overly salty. The egg roll was obviously homemade fresh and plentiful. I requested hot sauce & they actually cooked it spicy. Huge DIFFERENCE flavortown 4 shore

This food was very very good! The lady who took my order was extremely helpful in assisting with placing and choosing just the right options. It’s in a strip mall but quality of food is very good and the restaurant is clean. We will return!! I should have mentioned the chef is the best!! Kinda knew he had restaurants in NY ( or worked in them ) quality food!

My wife and I have been to numerous Chinese restaurants in Volusia County. We love Chinese food! This place is a tie with another Chinese restaurant. This restaurant is designed for takeout but the food is fresh, tasty and is fast. The price is not bad either. A couple times of year they close for a few weeks. We try to get a fix right before they go away. In a world where most places fail to care about quality and service it is refreshing to have this gem so close to us. The name says it all! First off, I believe if you wanted to you could sit in and eat you could, but it’s very small and only one table, so it’s mainly take-out. The Orange Chicken here is the best I have ever had. It’s crunchy, spicy, sweet and the chicken is always cooked perfectly. I am about 15 minutes from here and the food is still fresh and tasty when I get home. The Mongolian Beef is very tender and has a nice soy gravy to go with it. The Pork Fried Rice is really good as well. The pork is a char-siu style pork in a flavorful fried rice that is nice and dark. The spring rolls are very nice with a light crunch from the wrapper and the veggies inside are very tasty. The Wonton Soup is so flavorful even though the broth is almost completely clear. I don’t know how you pack that much flavor into a clear broth. The won-tons are so delicate and soft. The meat mixture inside is well seasoned and not too firm. The egg drop soup has veggies in it which is a nice touch. The ribbons of egg are silky and smooth. I highly recommend this place. Between their lunch specials at $8.95 and the dinner specials at $10.95 which both come with an egg roll or spring roll, with a soup, (hot and sour, veggie egg drop and won-ton) and your choice of white rice, brown rice or pork fried rice. You can’t go wrong here. Best Chinese take-out in the Daytona Beach are for sure.

Old school style seasoned rice orange chicken original or spicy with pork fried rice.. I have shrimp fried rice with beef and broccoli its delicious... we found a of town Chinese restaurant so happy y'all check them out! Oh it's hard to find it's in a plaza that look deserted

The food was great. I had the general Tso's chicken. I'd prefer more heat, but the flavor was good. Huge egg rolls. Price was average but the Value is better than average. The staff was very friendly. This may be my new favorite Chinese place here.

The best Chinese food in Port Orange. Super convenient location on Dunlawton Ave and easy to find. Lots of parking for pick up. They deliver if your close. Very fast service and the food was delicious. They offer everything you need such as soy sauce, utensils, and napkins. The menu is large so they have everything that you like to eat. We definitely recommend them.

As a local who frequently dines out, Difference Chinese is undoubtedly the best take-out Chinese in the area! The fried rice is flavorful with just the right texture and they're not skimpy with my requested extras (a lot of bean sprout and onion). Great prices for the portion sizes!
I cosign with another reviewer, it's definitely reminiscent of New York style Chinese food.
The owners are so sweet and I'm glad to patronize a local business as such. The location is unassuming but it's a hidden gem! I rarely write unsolicited reviews but the warmth of the owners and quality of the food warranted the effort. Try it for yourself; you'll taste and see the "Difference."

Better than average basic Chinese takeout! Service was quick and friendly, even on a Saturday night. They offer brown rice for no additional charge! Fortune cookies were super fresh. Meal came with a good variety of veggies, not just broccoli and carrots, things like baby corn and water chestnuts. Sauce was tasty and not overly salty. Lots of tofu too. Give this place a try!

Best Chinese takeout in Volusia County by far. The fried rice is especially superior. I have eaten 100+ times over the past several years and never had even a mediocre meal. Great service and the couple that owns the restaurant is amazing!!

Owner run. Try the all white meat sesame chicken. You will be blown away. There is no comparison, anywhere!!

Best Chinese place. Chicken is actually white and freshly cooked. Not discolored and rubbery like some places. Breading on chicken always well cooked as well. Gives most lo mein and taste is better. I eat here atleast once a week great place. just call.

I'm from the PNW where we are spoiled with amazing Chinese food all over the place. We have struggled since moving to Florida trying to find one we like, until we found this place. We have been back a few times now and they are very clean, food is fresh, they are so friendly, and the prices are good. I highly recommend them. It's nothing fancy, just a hole in the wall mom and pop place with great food.

Best Chinese food I've had in ages. Enjoyed them for nearly 2 years and I'm Glad they re-opened using masks and proper social distancing.
My favorite is Sesame chicken half way spicy with white rice.
The best (pork) fried rice

Husband and wife team, he makes all the food and she does the front of house. Very welcoming and consistent. You won’t be disappointed. I got my favorite Chinese dish, Singapore Chow Mei Fun

Fresh, good authentic- my receipt was even handwritten in Chinese; ) Best wonton soup I've had in a long time. Mei fun was great & they happily spiced them up for me upon asking. The place was hidden in plain sight. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

Not even exaggerating this is BY FAR the best Chinese I've had in Volusia County. I'm obsessed with their egg drop soup and shrimp and broccoli. Was a huge fan of their mei fun shrimp as well. Everything I have eaten here has been incredible. Only place I order from and it's ALWAYS HOT AND FRESH! REAL CHICKEN!! Can't beat it. Prices or taste. Delicious.

I'm a Chinese American who has always lived in big cities where tons of good Chinese restaurants are easy to find. I moved to Florida not too long ago, and my experience with the local Chinese restaurants have been nothing but disappointing. It seems that all these restaurants use one sauce on all the dishes, regardless of what dish it is. Well imagine my surprise when I got a chance to try this one. All 5 dishes I ordered were very tasty, on par with the great Chinese restaurants in other big cities. The Mar Lar Chicken in particular was delicious. The Bean Curd Szechuan style and the Dry Sauteed String Bean lunch specials were also very tasty. This restaurant is also inexpensive, and the portions are generous. I think I just found my go-to local Chinese restaurant. I will be getting takeout or delivery from them at least once a week. You should too.
