Historic Talmo Park

Small park with a mix of the good old equipment from the past as well as some new updated equipment that kids of today are used to. The merry-go-round could use some work, but it was nice to see one in a park. We were the only ones there, and honestly, I've never really seen many people there. It was a nice, unplanned stop for us!

Very nice park nice shade and very nice equipment. Right next to a wonderful library that is absolutely amazing.

My husband and I just happened to drive past this park on the way home (Athens) and decided to stop because we wanted to let the kids play at a park since they were going stir crazy. We are so glad that we stopped. This park has all kinds of equipment for the kids to play on, lots of places to sit, loads of shade so the kids don't get burned during the summer, and a basketball court for the older kids. The park is gated which is a plus for us, I just wish the gate was left closed so that my 3 year old was even less likely to wander off. Parking can be a little rough when it gets busy, but even when it's busy there seems to be enough space for everyone to play. It's an awesome park and worth the 30-35 minute drive.

Absolutely beautiful new equipment. The trashcans were full, so plan ahead. I didn't see any bathrooms nearby, but there is a cafe, church and library - I'm sure one will let a kid use.

Loved it! Interesting designs fascinated the kids! They definitely did not want to leave. Was a wonderful diverse group of people and children I even got to practice my Spanish with a few new friends!

Biggest playground with 10 miles of my house. Basketball court, large tree house, swings , merry-go-round, monkey bars, small rock wall, and a few benches. There are a few more things that I didn't mention.

Actually this was Talmo cafe we went to. They had a special for Valentine's where they offered either a steak meal or chicken meal. I have to say, this was the best steak I think I've ever eaten. Was grilled to perfection, cooked just like I ask for, tender, and a good proportion. The sides, a baked potato, loaded, and a garden salad, better than any Steakhouse around. So yes Talmo cafe got my vote for best meal around. They need to have more specials like this..

Great place for the whole family. Play area and tables are fenced in. Great place to hold birthday parties. Only downside is there is no where to go to use the restroom

Always clean and quiet. Shaded little park great place for the littles. I just go to walk around for some extra exercise 😊

Best park in the area by far! Huge bonus that it's fenced in! Would only recommend extending the parking lot and adding restrooms.

Love this park. It's perfect for a toddler beginning to walk as it's not crowded. And the playground is super cute

Great little park! Lots of play equipment to choose from, clean pavillion and I love, love, LOVE the fenced in area!

Very nice since the remodel... Maybe parents could not use the time to catch up on 💋💋.. too much too see this time.

Nice sized shelter and plenty of things for the kids to do. Park is fenced in except for the entrance.

Quiet place, to be with children, everything is clean, there is a library, where they tell stories, I really liked this place
