Tampico Restaurant Morgan City

Excellent food!! Great atmosphere. Came here for Date Night. First thing I noticed is how clean and nice it is. Waiter was very attentive, quick and friendly. I ordered a Cadillac Margarita and asked if they could add Strawberry flavoring. No problem. I ordered a half order of the Super Nachos. They came out fast and we're perfect for the smaller appetite like mine. I highly recommend this place and WILL be returning!

A must if your in the mood for TexMex in Morgan City. My family has been dining here for years and Tampico neve disappoints.

Needed a relatively quick meal while in Morgan City, and it's been a while since we've been to Tampico's... it was the right choice! Basic choices tonight: beef & cheese nachos with jalapeños and the three cheese enchiladas with Spanish rice & refried beans. With the unlimited chips and salsa, it was all I could do to stop and ask for a to-go box before making myself sick, lol. Our server was delightful and ahead of the game with refills. The price was very reasonable, especially with leftovers.

The last time i visited was great. However i was there a day or 2 prior with my sister and her family and my 2 children. Everything was great until we got the tickets. She honestly did not hear my brother in law say it was all on one. So we start looking at our tickets and noticed that each ticket was table 1 of 2 and table 2 of 2. Each ticket had 6 guests. My party was 3 and my sisters party was 5. I get servers make it on their tips but its no excuse to get over on the customer. Our bunch may not look like we roll high and might but we both have good jobs and intended on leaving her 20 dollars each. When we were met with the dishonesty we left her with her auto gratuity. If you do your job good and honest you will be taken care of and makes customers feel better about coming back and looking for you. Idk maybe i was raised different

I am a Puertorrican that live in Texas and had tried multiple Mexican restaurants. I have to say that the food is great, presentation on the plate was great, very fancy. The texture and flavor of their sauces were to another level of greatness.
Fast service and very clean place.
Spanish music on the background to a nice volume.

Great service, great food. We brought our baby for the grandparents to see because it was a halfway point and before we could order the waitress had a little table so our baby would at the same height as us. They were great. Will be coming back.

Always a great place to eat. Local favorite for sure with reasonable prices. Fast and friendly service. Always have leftovers too!

Just finished eating food was awesome like always! But this time we had the best waitress ever! Her name is Mary and she deserves a raise! She took our order without writing anything down and before putting our order in she went see if her other tables needed anything. Our food was all right no mess ups. She was very friendly and nice! I will definitely be asking for her everytime we come!

The food was perfect and it was a great atmosphere.

We went there tonight. Food ,chips, and salsa was super hot (steam hot). Loved the salsa made to perfection. First time having a coconut margarita it was awesome.
Now about the service:
Sasha was our waitress she could give lessons on how to be a awesome waitress. She brought us a pitcher of water , which I hadn't seen anybody do in a very long time. She was very helpful to help us order what we wanted. Perfect experience all the way around.

The customer service was exceptionally good. Johnathan in particular made the experience feel warm and welcoming. They made sure we where taken care of, as well as making sure our order was correct. 10/10 would recommend! Thank you Johnathan for making my experience enjoyable! Very, very good!! The best Mexican food we've had in Louisiana. The white queso tasted more like the peppers than I prefer, but was still good, & most would probably like it a lot. Everything else was great!

The philly cheese steak po boy sandwich had a nice balance in flavors, from the amount of meat, cheese, and vegetables, to their toasted bread. It was was better tasting than Outback Steak House philly cheese steak sandwich in comparison. 🔥💯🥪
