Lincoln Memorial Cemetery

I visited my mom’s gravesite today and had a concern. I visited the office and spoke with Mr. Carl Morris. He was very professional and seemed genuinely concerned with bringing a resolution to my issue. I appreciate his help and was given his number if I have concerns in the future. If I need to visit again I will definitely ask to speak with Mr. Morris. Great customer service, very empathetic and very professional. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I had my mother's funeral and repast at the funeral home that Ms. Shedonna works for. In my family's time of need and at a very difficult time for us, Ms. Shedonna went above and beyond to help take care of our needs at every turn. On the day of the funeral, she assisted us with everything from last minute decorations for the repast room to helping organize the food set up and seating arrangements. She also gifted us with her warm words of comfort. She really made it a great experience, considering the circumstances we were dealing with during our time of sorrow. We were really appreciative of the services and comfort she provided and are forever grateful. On behalf of my family and I, I'd like to thank Ms. Shedonna again for her unwavering help and support.

Carl Morris, counselor, did a professional and wonderful job communicating and explaining details. We highly recommend him. His colleague also provided excellent service in discussing future needs regarding burial.

Ms. Shedonna is probably one of the nicest people I have ever met. When my great grandmother passed a couple months back, my mom took it extremely hard. Ms. Shedonna made things much easier for my mother and the rest of my family. She stayed with my family from the very beginning, she even went above and beyond and helped with the actual funeral service, from greeting family and friends at the door to assisting with the repast. Shedonna is truly an angel and my family and I will forever be grateful for her.

My mother, father, & brother are all buried here and I had a problem with the marker. Mrs. Shedonna Tyson-Barnes assisted me with the issue and all is well with the end of life care of my family. Trust the right people and they will take care of you!!!

Not only did he answer my every question during my time of need with me putting pressure on him, but on the day of the Interment, he delivered exceptionally beyond my expectations.

My uncle's vase was stolen and I went the office and spoke to Ms. Mathews. She assured me she would take care of it and the vase was replaced within 24 hours. I commend her and am grateful her for her outstanding customer service.

I went to visit my parent's grave site on Mother's day May 11th and noticed that the vase that was attached to the head stone had come off and was laying in the Mudd beside the head stone, so I call the office on that Tuesday and spoke with Ms. Matthew's and she assured me that it would be taken care of, and it was sealed back on the head stone in two days..thank you sooo much Lincoln memorial.. keep up the good work of taking care of our loved one's grave sites

I visited the Lincoln cemetery recently to view Nannie Helen Burroughs' grave as part of my research project with one of my students. We arrived at the office near closing and Ms. Denise went above and beyond to help us. We were visiting D.C. from out of town and had no car. Ms. Denise took us to Burroughs' grave in her own car. We got more than we initially expected. She took us on a tour of all of the historical African American figures who are buried there such as Charles Drew. On our way back to the office, she stopped to help a man who could not find a grave site. She did not rest until she found it. I hope to return here again to learn more about all of the amazing history in the cemetery. Thanks, Ms. Denise!

Visiting the grave of Len Bias rocking my Jordan 3's. A stark reminder of what the difference between greatness and one bad decision can make. His grave marker was very hard to find. His brother James is buried next to him. Another tragic story.
