Kehde's BBQ

Great BBQ in a train car!! Had the BBQ beef and pork and both had excellent smoky flavor and super moist! Baked beans were homemade and delicious and the sweet potato fries were pretty good but needed seasoning. Overall great experience!

There was a bike event in town the day we went; even though it was super packed, and we, unfortunately, didn't get to eat in the train car; we were served quickly and everyone was very friendly. The food was so good; I ordered the catfish platter, and the fish was crispy and juicy. We also ordered the fried portobello caps for an appetizer, the mushrooms were not saturated in grease like a lot of other places are, I loved the sauce that came with the mushrooms, and I'd like to get a bottle of that for my house, lol. The curly fries were very delicious; I couldn't stop eating them even though I probably should have. I'll be going back again and recommend this place to anyone passing through Sedalia Missouri.

Didn’t have to wait at all. Great service and food. The train car and atmosphere was unique. Nice change from the typical restaurant.

Kehde's is one of our favorites! Food is always consistently great! It's always fun to sit in the train car for dinner as it takes you back to a simpler time. Although we've been there many many times we are always indecisive about which choice we're going to have for supper. Miss piggy, barbecue beef sandwich, posh potatoes, fried mushrooms, it's all just so good!

Had the combo plate, beef and turkey with potato salad and side salad. Very tasty. What really made it for me was the scenery I was able to see while eating… the state fairgrounds

Absolutely my most favorite barbecue place. I've had the same servers for years. They know what I want before I order, sometimes I have to surprise them. Just for good measure.

I've eaten here a lot. Amazing how consistent the quality of the food and cooking is and the service. You always leave full and I've never had anything cooked incorrectly or come out wrong. The servers are always very sweet and accommodating. Best place to eat in Sedalia for lunch.

Ordered the train wreck and it was amazing. The staff was very friendly. We got to eat on the train car, awesome, didn't have to wait long for our table there either. This was my first time dining here and it definitely won't be the last. Loved it.

I had the Alamo and fries and it was great we also had an onion bloom that was awesome The atmosphere is great. My little girl loved playing with the toys in the lobby and ride the toy quarter ride horse. When I was a kid they used to be outside of grocery stores and stuff.

So over the years I have become kind of obsessed with ribs. I can't go to a new city without finding the best local ribs. I was driving through Sedalia and have seen Kehde's on a few best BBQ lists so I thought I'd stop for lunch.

I saw the train car but was excited to see you can dine inside it. That alone was awesome. I order a half rack with beans and hand cut fries. I also got a side of fried portobello. These ribs are no joke, the best I've had. And I have had A LOT of ribs. The rub and the moistness of the meat makes a sauce unnecessary (i am a sauce guy). They are tender but not falling off the bone just like they should be. Smokey but not over smoked. The sauce is a typical KC style sauce.

The fries are the real deal. Soft on the inside crispy on the outside golden goodness. The baked beans were obviously house made and had chunks of pork in them. Sweet but not too sweet. The fried mushrooms were worth ordering. Large portobello caps cut instrips and battered. They are seasoned well and had a good dipping sauce. The sauce was sour cream based and had cumin and other spices in it.

The service was good, the atmosphere in the train car was awesome. Highly recommend you go out of your way to try this place!

The only place to go for delicious BBQ in the State. The staff was amazing and helpful. I had the pork sandwich, which didn't last long. I finished with the caramel apple pie. Omg... You have to save room for this. Eating in the rail car is so much fun. Highly recommend the burnt end and everything they offer.

First time here. It was a refreshing salad and it hit the spot. Next time I'll try the rest of the menu. Thank you for the great time with family and friends.

Great food. Friendly people. Ate in an old railroad dining car. A good experience all around. Good prices and the food came fast, hot and plenty. Will stop by whenever I come through Sedalia. Thank you.
