McGee's Scot Irish Pub

We loved absolutely everything about this pub! The atmosphere was fun, the food was great and the service came with a smile.
The spaces are clean and well kept and the parking lot across the street is very convenient with parking downtown being a bit challenging at times.
Highly recommend! We want to return soon to try more off the menu.

Wife and I ate here last night. Food was brought out quickly and was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and staff is friendly. This place is wonderful and we will come back.

An absolute, unplanned, wonderful find! The steaks were absolute perfection! Tender and full of flavor. Atmosphere has a warm, pub feel, service was excellent. Look forward to our next visit.

We have been pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is almost like in an original Irish pub. Very cozy and relaxed. The staff was pleasant and very attentative even though they have been super busy. But the real surprise was the food. We both had the fish and chips which has been fabulous. But the coleslaw was the best I had ever in my life. I don't know what they did to it, but it was from out of this world. We will make this place a regular.
As said before. We will make this place a regular and went for the new years eve celebration 🍾. There could have been more entertaining things like dj or karaoke, but the atmosphere and food have been still wonderful. I had the corned beef with cabbage and it was out of the world

On a sporadic trip to Anderson, I was looking for something to eat and saw PUB in the name. I love pubs and pub food. This place did not disappoint. The Irish pub feel starts as you are walking to the door. Decor and atmosphere were on point. Staff was all friendly. We sat at the bar because naturally that's what you do at a pub if you have the chance. Our bartender Angelina gave us all the specials and was attentive throughout our visit. I ordered the voodoo burger with my side being their special stew (I am a soup person). The flavors were amazing. Perfectly cooked burger. The bun matters, and they choose wisely. The other order was a special of the day, cowboy burger( I know it's an Irish pub What are we doing!) This burger was large and very flavorful. The curry Cole slaw was a big change to what us southerners are used to and I could not of been happier. Glad our choice was to stop here. We will be coming again. We had missed brunch ( I didn't even know they had it, considering I just found this place), so the plan is to go back and indulge. Keep up the good work. Staff being super friendly is always a win in my book, and I can tell the kitchen staff really values the product they are serving. I felt like I was home, and that's what a pub atmosphere should be.

We had the pleasure of eating here once again. The pork chop was seasoned perfectly. My shrimp and chips were amazing! I love this place and their staff. If you haven't tried this place, just wait until you do! You'll be addicted to the food and atmosphere!

We had a wonderful meal! The food at McGee’s is delicious, portions are good, and service is always top-notch. I am glad I ordered the restaurant week sampler platter - so many great choices. My friend ordered the chicken liver appetizer - OMG, they were moist and buttery - great job kitchen staff!

Shout out to Angelina for taking care of our small group and knowing the ins/outs of the regular menu as well as the restaurant week specials.

This place is fabulous! Our server was so friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, answered all our questions, and even told us about some of the music and arts scene around Anderson. The food was seriously wonderful. I had shepherd's pie and the port wine mushrooms. GET THE PORT WINE MUSHROOMS! The atmosphere was fun and I'll be sure to plan enough time to stay for the evening music next time.

Ate here last night with my brother. Great place! The service was very good. The food was even better. Belfast fish and chips. Haven’t had fish that good in the southeast. The coleslaw was unique and very delicious. The pub itself was very clean and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The server was very friendly. This is Anderson’s hidden gem.

I finally made it to McGee's Scot-Irish Pub in Anderson and it did not disappoint whatsoever. It’s an incredible pub-style atmosphere. Very laid-back and chill. I have never been to Ireland or Scotland but aesthetically, this is exactly how I picture a pub there.

Started out with Celtic Dragon Eggs, which are fried pimento cheese with jezebel, the loveliest strawberry jalapeño sauce. The pimento cheese has a bit of a bite to it 🔥 but the sweetness of the sauce balances it all out. Definitely a must try! Love love love these. 🤤

Then, I got the Shepherd’s Pie. Real potatoes , y’all…none of that fake powdered stuff. The beef was so well-seasoned and so flavorful. Such a pleasure eat. 🥰

McGee’s is a big huge pot of gold. Definitely a must visit.

This is definitely a place I will go back to every time I'm in Anderson. We were there on St Patrick's Day and there was a really good traditional Irish music band. The music was excellent, the food was very tasty and I absolutely love the vibe of the place😍

What a grand experience! The interior is exactly as I'd imagine a pub in Ireland. The food choices were authentic and delicious. Our server Michael, was knowledgeable of the menu and offered suggestions, alongside the specials. The port wine mushrooms are a must have! I loved that they served horseradish with the fried mushrooms.

Absolutely fabulous! Our server Chassity D. was terrific, and the food was divine! It was so great to stumble across this gem. As a person of mixed ancestry, with Scot-Irish being a part of the mix, I was beyond stoked to find this place! We live a little over an hour away and decided to celebrate my 36th birthday here, and it was well worth the trip!

Let's just say that I will defiantly be coming back. The service was great, and I really liked the atmosphere of the place. Don't get me started about the food though. I loved the French Onion Soup, and the Shepard's Pie was on point. I really enjoyed the Caramel Cake. I would give this place a 15 out of 10 if I had the choice to.

Isha was our server and she was absolutely Amazing!! The fried Shrimp were the BEST I have ever had!!! The shrimp were large and there were a lot as well as the fries.
My husband had Irish Whiskey Steak and it was delicious.
The Creme Brulee was outstanding.!!
We are new to Anderson and have been trying a new restaurant per week. This was hands down our Favorite so far!!!!

What a great experience! Best corned beef I've veer had in a restaurant, the cabbage was on whole other level, the appetizers were great, literally nothing was less than great. My wife had the duck breast and it was also amazing (had to try that). The service was friendly and faster than expected, and the price was reasonable. This will definitely be a spot we return to.

This place is amazing, the food is always so delicious we've tried several different meals and appetizers and they never disappoint, the service is great, we're always made to feel welcome and have never been waiting needing something from a server. My husband and I have deemed this our favorite date night spot, the atmosphere here is wonderful!! We've only been able to make it to one trivia night so far and although we lost terribly 🤣😭we had such a fun time, it was really nice to have that type of interaction while enjoying dinner! Can't wait till we can come back again!

Friendly staff and delicious food! I tried the French Onion soup and the mister had the burger with an egg. Definitely try the zucchini vegetables in place of coleslaw! They were super good.

Fries were battered and great paired with ketchup, but the house made enchilada ranch was super good, too.

Sundays they have 1/2 price bottles of wine!
