Opie's Candy Store

Opie's Candy Store is the cutest, friendliest shop with great prices!! My family loved visiting there and we enjoyed all of the ol' fashioned candy. 🥰

Overall a very fun, old-timey candy store. Very busy, with one check out, but they were pretty quick. Lots of options.

MUST visit when in Mt. Airy. We came to see the wonderful Andy Griffith Museum ( from Florida) and ended our day at this delightful place.. not only all the candy you could dream of, but 'eye' candy everywhere.. took lots of photos just of the displays. The staff was friendly and the ice cream was delicious.. a perfect hour.

The atmosphere of this place brings me back in time. Delicious candy wonderful fudge, ice cream everything about this place is awesome. The store and town both are worth the drive to go visit

We always stop at Opies before leaving Mt.Airy. Candy is $5.99 a pound. Sugar free and dark chocolate cost more but I am not sure of the price. It's a great store. They also have soda pop, ice cream and a few souvenirs.

Friendly staff. Great selection of candy in barrels and glass jars that suit every taste. Good prices by weight and they even have old-school glass soda drinks as well.

I went to Opies Candy Store on a couple of our family vacations to moutains and to the
Mt Airy, Nc area. I would definitely recommend this cute small but unique little candy store, it had the ole old time candy from my childhood, I loved looking around at all the sweet treats, I purchased some candy, which I'm going to say, I enjoyed very much. But I love candy anyways. . Lol 🤣 if you love the old fashioned candy from years ago, I would recommend Opies Candy Store, they have some candy from now days als, my grandchildren loved too. Plus they sale ice cream too and few I would recommend this little candy store.

Such friendly staff. Anytime I'm in Mt.Airy and they're open this is a necessary stop. They have old time candy that's hard to find anywhere else. But they also have a good selection of candy that is popular now
