Mountain Man Orchard & Markets

This is my favorite place to go every year when we go to the mountains. There is an older lady (no offense) that works there, and I adore her. She is so sweet and friendly. She always tries to help you find what you need and make sure that you leave happy. They have the best prices on their produce and their pumpkins are priced great and they are huge. Definitely a must stop location.

Very friendly, they have a great selection of jarred goodies. They also sell produce along with other interesting things and antiques.

Very nice place to stop on your trip. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. Since the father, Mountain Man, passed away, his daughters now run it. The name was changed to Mountain Girls. They use the same recipes and prices, but they've added a few more flavors. Enjoy!

Very nice people working there. Very helpful. Lots of varieties of fruit and vegetables, and beans and country ham. Very nice place.

Love this place. I found thick middling meat there. They also have fat back, which seems to be very hard to find.

Cute, quaint, nice place to visit - friendly folks. I pick up pumpkins and gourds here every year.

Got some nice flags, good apples. Lot to look at. Loved the pigs outside.

This place is awesome! They have apples, cabbages, huge tomatoes, ribs, flowers, and so much more!! Worth the stop!!!

This market has everything from fresh sausage smoked bacon and double yolk eggs to all kinds of vegetables jams and jellies. Workers are always helpful and know their products wwll.

We stop every time we are in the area. Love the phone booth that you can call anywhere in America for free. Best produce and the cherries we get are always so good. I can't wait to go back and see what they have great to eat and make preserves out of.

The products and the people are just terrific!! We couldn't be happier 😊

Found a cool photo on the wall of Mt. Man and Jimmy Valiant for the old school wrestling fans. But the real star is the produce selection, country ham, honey, and good prices and nice staff.

My husband and I stopped by here on our way home from the Hillsville Flea Market this past Monday and we bought a half gallon jug of freshly squeezed apple juice. We tried a sample of the apple juice before we bought and it is good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I hope to stop by here again.

Large variety of produce grown on site or locally. Best place to go in a five-state area to get Freestone peaches. Also a wide variety of different other things are available such as apple butter, hot sauces, canned fruit, t-shirts and a myriad of other products.

We make the 800 mile round trip drive every year during peach season and buy a pickup truck load of those luscious Freestone peaches to bring back to Ohio for friends and family. So much better and tastier than those little tiny things you get at the grocery store up here.

Been going there for over 20 years. Loved previous experiences. Great people. Great products.
******2019 A big disappointment. SOLD LAST YEAR'S GOLDEN AND RED DELICIOUS APPLES. LOOKED OKAY ON OUTSIDE BUT MUSHY INSIDE. WILL NOT RETURN.
