Diaz Tex-Mex Restaurant

Not fancy from the outside, but this family owned cafe puts out excellent food! I had a chile relleno plate. Delicious! I could choose from several fillings - including vegetables or fajita. I picked ground beef, my favorite. Served with charro or refried beans, rice, pico, guacamole, & choice of tortillas. You start with green & red salsa served with fresh chips. Generous servings at a reasonable price. Lots of menu choices, too.

Margaritas looked really good, but I didn't taste them this trip. Lots of choice at the bar, also.

If you're on a budget, and you want something great for lunch or dinner, Diaz has it. They have more expensive dishes, but they have quite a few more pocket-book friendly options that don't skimp on the quality. Some of them are as cheap as $7 before drink and tip.

I suggest you take a look, see what you think for yourself. I've eaten there with family and friends since they opened and none of us have been disappointed.

This place is a funky little restaurant taking advantage of the upcoming eclipse event. Good music and good food. Friendly service.

Not just our favorite Tex-Mex - but our FAVORITE restaurant in Hillsboro. My bride and I have a date night almost every week here. They have been known to offer hugs, as well as some fresh, delicious dishes. Everything we’ve had is wonderful - including the service and atmosphere. Especially when they have the occasional live music or karaoke.

The people who rate this place low must have had a bad day beforehand, taking it out on the staff. Toopid, as my then 4-year old daughter would say.

Delicious food and friendly, welcoming folks. Enjoyed chicken fajitas for two, while listening to some live music.

The food is great. A family meal will feed three of us with plenty for tomorrow's lunch. The woman I spoke to on the phone was very polite. They wasted no time making the food not that I'm picky about waiting time. Good food is made when a person is passionate about their skills in making the best effort to make the customer's experience pleasant.

We had the #11 and there was so much food!! The green sauce is so good! We will be going back!

Maria and her family make this a wonderful place to visit, the food is always good, and the queso is fantastic, wonderful, excellent, top-notch (can't say enough positive adjectives), sometimes we go just for 16 oz. to go 😋.

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in this area. I have eaten there several times including the Whitney location when they were open. The servers are always so friendly it's just like family. The food is awesome you cannot expect anything better from a tex mex restaurant. I am giving them five stars for always being so welcoming when I come in.

Had lunch there the other day with my wife. The food we had was very good. Server was friendly and attentive. Prices were also reasonable. We'll be back.

Well they were in Whitney. Texas. But the owner of all t he buildings closed as ll th r stores. So they remodel a store and mad r it one good Place to eat Mexicaine food.
