La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Houston Greenway Plaza Medical Area

Great experience. I thought it would be noisy from it being close to the freeway. It wasn't in the least. All in all I would stay here again.
Only reason for 4 stars on location, the parking lot was littered with trash. I felt it could have been better maintained.

I was in Houston for several back to back doctor's appointment and didn't want to drive home and then back again the next morning. Reservations were fairly easy to get. I wasn't looking for anything special as it was just me. I arrived at a little past 3:00 PM. Google maps had me take a back street and I was wondering if I was in the right area/place. I went around the block and entered from the freeway access road. I was greeted as soon as I walked into the front door. The young lady at the from desk was very speedy, efficient, and very kind. There was another lady who was talking to a gentleman but was very nice and attentive to me as well. The lady at checkout was as awesome as the other two. My room was clean and orderly. Everything worked well. There were numerous gas station stores nearby as well as restaurants that I should have paid more attention to when I arrived, I wouldn't have settled for the gas station food. The entire hotel was very quiet during my entire stay. The pool was out of order which was a bummer but you just have to deal sometimes. My room was right above the registration desk facing the freeway, amazingly I didn't hear the freeway at all. The hotel is in need of upgrading but for this price you cannot go wrong. Only bad thing that I will note and this only comes as I am a retired facilities manager...curb appeal is everything and there was quite a bit of trash in the front parking lot. In a bit of defense, the freeway access road is right there and a lot of people don't know what a trash can is used for. There was an assortment of things for breakfast so everyone in the family should be able to start the day out right. I would stay here again.

I was nervous booking this place after some of the reviews but shouldn't have been. My room (1 king bed) was clean and looks newly remodeled; the mini fridge was even turned on for me. I have absolutely no complaints.

There are some scuffs on the paint in the hallway but...eh, I'm not staying in the hallway, who cares.

This hotel delivers everything it promises. The room was a good size and the king-size bed was
very, very comfortable. WiFi access was good, I was able to connect my laptop to the TVs HDMI port and stream TV shows. The breakfast was very basic. The only real issue we had was that our neighbours had small dogs in their room that yapped annoying at times, not at night, fortunately, but enough times to prompt us to call reception and complain. Certainly not a flashy hotel by any stretch, but we had a comfortable few nights sleep.

The room was very spacious. The beds were comfortable. It had a refrigerator as well as a microwave for any food items, and it had a nice breakfast buffet. There is also a pool in case you feel like lounging outside. Great hotel for the price.

My work entails a lot of travel at times. I've stayed at some good places and some real dumps. This La Quinta is one of their older establishments and could use some facelifts in places. But, very few places have impressed me in service and overall customer care. On my extended stays, my room is clean and everything has worked. The staff at the desk is attentive to my needs and make sure when things are not right they take care of it. Case in point, I had shirts dropped off for cleaning and pressing. For some reason they were not picked up. The staff took care of the problem efficiently and made sure I was not charged for the inconvenience. I strongly recommend this establishment if you needing a place to stay.

The staff is to die for. Southern hospitality for sure!! I felt like a pretty princess with how all the beautiful people that run this La Quinta took care of my family and I. So close to the medical center that you could get lost and still find your way there and find everything your little heart could ever desire. Houston already has everything this hotel being one of the oldest in the medical district of H-Town also has everything. From a full breakfast to discounts for medical patients, I've fallen in love with this lost gem. I've been a guest at this LaQuinta for years, they will definitely treat you like family and have you running back. I can't wait for the shuttles and pool to re-open. With all that this really is my home away from home. Thank you Suzee for being an amazing Manager! See you guys soon!

Very nice accommodations & affordable pricing. An older inn but we come from Lafayette, LA every 3-6 months for care at MD Anderson & we always book here. Great location with shopping, and restaurants nearby. Easy commute to MD Anderson or they also provide free shuttle to MD A. The staff are all great & very helpful. Room was very nice, clean & comfortable. Dogs are welcome. Nice outdoor pool area.

Old hotel but customer service from Victoria was the best. Lost my pillow there and called the front desk. Happen to talk to Victoria and she was able to find it and mail it back to me. She wrapped it up in plastic and saved me the cost on purchasing a box. She shipped it out the same day she found it as well. This person deserves a raise !

I absolutely love La Quinta Inn. I was supposed to be up and on the road by 7 this morning..... Here it is 22 minutes after ten and im just getting out of the most comfortable bed this side of a heaven cloud. The night manager was the best and made you really feel welcomed. Room was completely cleaned, and whoever Martha is who cleaned my room before i checked in made sure there wasnt a spot, blemish or wrinkle. THIS will be the only hotel i stay in. La Quinta you are the BEST

Room was clean and everything was functional. We had brought our puppy and there was grassy area for her to potty. No disturbances through the night. I would stay again.

Good price on room. Staff actually recommended how to save some money. Wifi works very good for being on the outer end of the hotel. Beds are comfortable. I ended up extending my stay since i saved mo ey on the room option.

I loved this place. I stayed here for 5 days, and each day was simply amazing. Rooms and beds were nice and clean, breakfast was tasty, and the staff were some of the nicest people I gave ever met.

Wow! Really loved the suite with the additional room closed off by a door and lock. Second room came with a tv too. The rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast was better than anything I could make at home myself. 10/10

We stayed here during Hurricane Imelda when Houston roads were completely shut down. Our room was enormous for about $80 per night. This La Quinta has a large pool and continental breakfast. Even during a hurricane, we enjoyed our stay. Incredible value inside the loop: grab a Budweiser Chelada and a bag of Takis at the convenience store next door, and you’re prepared for anything.

We were just there,from September 7 to the 9,. Excellent hotel for the price. It exceeded our expectations. Very clean and spacious room,good breakfast buffet,also the pool is really nice. I definitely recommend it 👍. Thanks

Very good Hotel.
Laundry Facility is inadequate.
Air-conditioner is puzzling - Unable to decide if it is working or not.
Nevertheless, the stay was enjoyable.
Complementary Breakfast is buffet and it is Okay!

Great place to stay. Clean rooms & hot breakfast with noon checkout. Very reasonably priced! Would definitely stay here again!

The young lady at the front desk and the gentleman that I think was the manager (so sor ry I can't remember their names) went out of their way to accommodate us. My husband is in a wheelchair and his broke just as we got to the hotel . The hotel had a wheelchair that they let us use through out our stay. I will definitely stay here again. I dont care if the rooms are dated ,you can't ask for better people.

So far so good. Staff is courteous.facility clean, can use an upgrade & will soon break ground on a new La Quinta. Transport to & from Medical Center appointments is a daily service & is a big deal for me.
