My son started the school year at IDEA Edinburg this year 2017-2018, and I must say this school is excellent all around. Great teachers and staff and he volunteers work hard to provide a safe pick up and drop off for the kids. I love how my child comes home practicing what he’s learned and he gets excited to go to school the next day.

School with nice facilities but it seems like most students prefer public because they are given more freedom to roam and choose classes. Also, limited extracurriculars offered.

Principals and Teachers are the epitome of ignorance! Please don't take your kids to this school. They don't follow protocol when it comes to bullying complaints. If your kid is enrolled in this school and you don't like how they are treating your kid report them to TEA, contact your congress person and ask them to do something about this school. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING because they magically lose documents; ESPECIALLY in the elementary side. If your child has a disability, remember you can contact Disabilities Rights to stand by your side.

It only tries to be perfect, but my child comes home everyday complaining and it gets worse. Kids are always judging each other and my child feels dumb in this school. Anyone hardly has any freedom to roam free, and my child can’t focus because of the stress and pressure and it concerns me.
