There is a great playground with neat features like a small waterfall for kids to enjoy here as well as a lovely nature trail that allows you to see a lot of the native wildlife. The learning center has classes for young children up to teens. You can tell the staff really care about the children having a good learning experience. I also love that the bathrooms in the learning center have always been clean, well stocked and have stools for children to use to reach the sinks.

No tickets necessary. This place is an awesome mix of 3 different ecosystems colliding as one, so the change in scenery absolutely phenomenal, it makes for a most fulfilling walk

This is a great place to take a break from everything and experience nature for a bit. The trails are great for a walk, and there are various areas throughout the "park" one could use to relax and/or read a book.

This is one of my favorite places. I absolutely love it here! The trails are gorgeous and very clean. I rarely see trash. It feels safe and comfortable. This is a great place to bring the kiddos, or come alone to enjoy the peace and reflect on life. I’ve seen turtles on the trail, and plenty of beautiful birds! This is a great place to get away for a few hours.

It’s a lovely escape, with beautiful grounds, a play space, but above all, natural areas overlooking the Oso Bay wetlands. I’ve had great experiences with their guided events, although when we went in last time with our four year old niece, the normally engaging staff looked like they could not be less interested in us. I don’t know if it was an off day or what, but they barely talked to us and reluctantly answered questions when asked, and it felt like we were imposing on their space. The door was open and it was public hours, so not sure what that was about. Otherwise, this place is a gem, with ample, accessible trails and overlooks where, in the midst of them, it’s easy to forget that you are in the middle of the suburbs. It’s easy to spot a deer or two, or an owl at sunset. Oh! and be aware because as it’s a nature preserve, that means ALL nature. Including rattlesnakes. Our dog ran up on one just beside the trail once, and I had to pull him away quickly! Be mindful of when they’re most active, be aware of your surroundings, and just keep in mind that they’re out there and you’re in THEIR home, not the other way around. I’ve seen three in my visits, three separate occasions, no one was hurt, and they were beautiful to witness, but just have some respect and awareness.

This place is only 2 years old and sponsored by Corpus Christi. It's free and the walk is a little under 2 miles. Wonderful learning center, clean restrooms, water fountains along the walk. Plenty of places to sit and rest. Great playground for kids. Really enjoyable.

Has to be one of my favorite places visited in Corpus so far. I had the luxury of taking an evening stroll with some friends while I was visiting and it left me breathless. The gravel trails wind to beatiful open wetlands with lots of breeze and plenty of shade. We saw a snake on the trail and other critters fluttering and running about. The sunset here was gorgeous. The trails get pretty dark after that so it's best to bring a flashlight or head lamp to err on the safe side. It can be a great romantic setting if you're looking to take a date. Also good to come with a group of friends or to bring your kids.

Really nice walk with plenty of lookouts to different points. Lots of trails and couldn't hear the city noise while on the trails. Park was very clean and seems like a good place for an adult jogger or kids needing outside time.

Love it here! The scenery is beautiful and the paths are great. I enjoyed walking through the cemented area and hopping on the stones in the water. However, it is very mosquito heavy during the rainy/heat weather and we encountered a rattlesnake on one of the dirt paths. I look forward to returning here again.

I didn’t have time to check out the entire facility, I came to focus on photographing the birds at the water feature and I was not disappointed. Beautiful Great tailed grackles, Mourning doves, Black-chinned hummingbirds, both genders of House sparrows and, everybody’s favorite, the male and female Painted buntings. I hope one day to have time to look around up the entire park.

This is a small but very well-designed park. By the large parking area, including some bus/RV spots, they have an education center (currently closed), a great play area for kids, and some bathrooms. From this location, a number of wide, flat, granite paths take off, wandering through a variety of habitats. Many informational signs will be encountered along the way, helping you learn about the area and its wildlife. This is a very good location for bird watching, getting the kids some exercise or just stretching your legs a bit.

What a lovely park! I found it by accident and I’m glad I did. Lots of trails, plus the bike trail that is connected on the north end of the preserve. I love all the plaques with the information on them so you can educate yourself about the birds and wildlife in the area. There is also a big playground for children. Great family place

A hidden gem that I rather hope stays hidden. Great trails, beautiful playground with a soft ground all around it, recycled materials. Clean, quiet and has a pretty little sitting area near a babbling little fountain with an adjoining area for the kids. Look for the metal sculpture and turn in.

Indoor and outdoor learning areas are so cute and the employees are welcoming. The playground is awesome and has plenty of covered canopies for shade. Exploring this area was fun and exiting for my little.

With a large playscape for kids and hikes to multiple viewing platforms above the bay and wetlands, the preserve is a great place for family walks and talks about nature and just being outdoors together. The nature center was closed when we were there on a Sunday, so there was no bathroom access.

Was a facepainter at their birthday venue, was totally impressed. The children had such an Amazing time... with the playground, wetland museum, craft (making dragonflies), and handling live turtles, and facepainting, the children were so happy. Great place to entertain children

Gorgeous preserve with helpful and knowledgeable staff. All the trails are well maintained. I went there and saw a land tortoise in the wild for the first time in my life.
