Thai Orchid

Thai Orchid is a friendly restaurant that I stopped here once before with my daughter, and I remembered how good the food is. So when approaching Wichita Falls today en route to my final destination, I searched for it, happening to arrive shortly after their 5pm opening hour.

I was surprised (as I was the first time) at how un-busy it was, especially given the food quality. I ordered the Pad Thai with tofu and vegetables. When my server asked about spice, I replied with one word: “Medium.”

Sweet Mother of Jesus, that was HOT! I was sweating, but loving every minute of it. I had to ask for a glass of water to try to put out the fire, to no avail. My tongue was smoking for a good 30 minutes afterward. If you are averse to heat, maybe say “Mild” or “None.”

I was especially touched by all the employees wishing me—again, the only customer—a Merry Christmas as I exited. That was really nice. I will remember, and shall return next time through town.

This place is awesome! The atmosphere is low-key but the food is amazing! I love the pad Thai and the Penang curry! If you’re looking for Thai food this IS the place to go!!!

Good service & excellent food! Every time we leave here we are always fat & happy. Do yourself a favor & try it, you won't regret it!

The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is polite. Best of all,the food is amazing!

Hands down one of the best restaurants in town. And the food and gip customer service is outstanding. Definitely make sure to go at least once a week.

2nd time I've been here but been wanting to try it for more than 20 years. Nice small place, no thrills, but you get great food at low prices. Most expensive thing on the menu in 11 bucks. Lots of Thai staples and some Chinese for the less adventurous

Small business, she works hard. Food is good best if you go in off peak hours

I really love this place! I often get the 4 color w/ fried rice, which was really good. But today, I tried the red curry & like it somewhat. I wish it was a little bit thicker though because it was just like eating soup. Also, very good for the price. :)

The service was super quick despite only one lady taking order, cashing out, & cleaning up. Seeing her run around makes me tired as well lol. Props to her!

The decorations reminds me of a great value Olive Garden, which I thought was funny considering the place serves Asian food.

This is my favorite place to eat in the whole world! The food is very good but the joy is watching the ONE waitress do the ballets of serving, seating, taking orders and and refills all by herself with a smile on her face. The meals are EXTREMELY generous with portions and I always take home a doggie bag

This is the best Thai restaurant I've ever been to get the food is delicious and extremely authentic.
Also you've got to get the tie to you if you go there couldn't recommend more.

I hadn't had this place in 10+ years until the other day, but eating there is like a new experience everytime. It's not very big, and there is only one waitress (one of the owners), but she works those little feet off to make sure you are happy. Fantastic food, homegrown spices, and lovely little store. Eat here. You have to.

I have gotten take out here over the last 4-5 years. I travel through here some. I live in McKinney...this is every bit as good as I have there or in N Dallas.
Better tonight than usual. This place has very little ambience but a great kitchen and staff. I've had chicken and ...whatever veggies and always good especially the sauces and spices in it. The spring rolls are a tad oily but really great.
Can't go w wrong if you like Thai!

Best hidden gem in the falls. I always leave full with enough leftover food for at least another meal!!!! Even my picky kids love the food. It may still look like the old Italian restaurant it use to be inside... but I came to eat some of the best Thai in Texas not critique decor!!!!

It's my favorite place to eat in Wichita Falls. I have been going there since they opened. When ever we come in the owner/waitress gets our drinks and know what most of my family wants to eat. I change my mind and eat something different most of the time. I have yet had a bad meal here. I love everything about Thai Orchid.

Every town I travel to I seek out the local Thai restaurants for the Pad Thai. Thai Orchid has amazing Pad Thai in my opinion, I always get the chicken with extra peanuts and the highest spiciness possible. I have had the Pad Thai about 6 times in my three month stay here and it has been consistently one of the best dishes I have had in the US.

As far as the service, it is fast and efficient. The restaurant is clean but I didn't really feel the Thai atmosphere like I do in other places. Overall I would definitely recommend it for the Pad Thai connoisseur.

They are very friendly, and the second time we went there they remembered what we ordered the last time and asked us if we wanted to reorder that or try something else. We tried the lemon chicken and loved it. The next visit, the same thing, "would you like vegetable fried rice combination or lemon chicken?" The lady asked. Great service

Only place in Wichita Falls to get Thai food. Really enjoy their panang curry. Also good is the Hawaiian pineapple rice with shrimp. Place is outdated, but didn't let that fool you! The food is spot on. They offer lunch specials M-F. Priced good. Family run. Never disappointed!

Always love the food! Their egg rolls are great if you like spicy, tell them to make it Thai spicy 😀

Delicious food! The place looks really sketchy on the inside, but this was our favorite place to eat in the area! You can’t leave without trying the Panang Curry
