Upshur County Library

Upshur County Library is a quaint well kempt building with lots of windows and natural light. Used books available for sale in the foyer. Upon entering, you will see an impressive enclosed area for toddlers and children. The play area provides an abundance of learning toys. There is a cozy Tween and Teen section for ages 12 to 18 years of age. In this section there are colorful floor rugs with an array of seating options from ottomans, bean bags, stools, as well as, traditional chairs. The library provides free internet access and is equipped with free computer stations and the capability to print out documents in color or black and white for a nominal fee. The library is spacious and provides many different sitting and study areas. The icing on the cake, is the small fenced-in outdoor park featuring a cozy pavilion for reading or just hanging out. There is a walk-through garden, outdoor lighting and benches. Park hours, surprisingly, are from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. . Amazing Library with lots of opportunities for the entire family.

Very clean and welcoming environment. All staff was super friendly, helpful and kind to the kids. They gave a detailed explanation of the summer reading program and goodie bags. We will be back asap!

Went in to vote just now and they have it all together really nice!! I was in and out within 8 minutes!! They had someone there cleaning each machine after each use!! There is plenty of room between each station and everyone was super nice!! Thank you for being a gracious voting host, Upshur County Library!! 😊

Love this library, the small children's area is beyond adorable. They have lots of DVD's to choose from to check out and big selection of books, also free WiFi and lots of computers to use and you can print in black n white or in color.
