My grandfather had been tossed around at Gulf Breeze hospital and rehab center. We were unsure about West Florida as it was so far away from his home.
I am leaving this review because when we looked the reviews didn't give us any peace. From the moment that we were admitted to this facility I could tell the competence was as high as their compassion. It feels like you have arrived home. In a safe place where people care about you. The way we all want a hospital to be.
I would want to come here if I was the patient.

My dad has just come home from here. We were VERY pleased with the care and respect he (and we) received here. Therapists were patient with him, and we felt like they were very focused on getting him better! Upon moving, many friends told us that this rehab is the best around, and we now agree. Overall we were very happy.

They are amazing here. They are very focused on helping the people overcome any physical problems they are having so they can go back out into society n function like everyone else.

These folks are over the top. My brother was in an accident that resulted in a brain injury. WFRI assembled all the right teams from memory care, physical therapy brain injury specialist, care managers and I am forgetting others. They turned a very bad situation into a blessing. I can’t thank them enough!!!

I was Discharged from here on Oct 6 2022. Sunshine, Ms Adrianna ,Nurse John Nurse ,Dean was AMAZING !! they made my time there very comfortable my PT for my in patient stay was great also .Karris and Marybeth. OT Alley was very pleasant my In patient speech therapist was amazing as well teaming up with her and Ms Carrie was fun. when it comes to caring for a patient it’s from the heart and the compassion radiates from the caregiver. Melissa you made my time there unnerving I thank God I asked for another nurse when I did ! you showed no compassion the times I encountered you . This review is only for my inpatient stay I’m currently doing out patient at the moment and I’ve encountered some amazing out patient therapist the good amazing people here outweigh the bad

My Mother was here after suffering a stroke at 68 years old. Prior to her stroke, she was already living with a rare peripheral nerve disease which affected her walking. Some of the therapists were familiar with the disease and were good with her. But, the nursing staff was not. One nurse in particular had the audacity to tell me Mama was lazy. If I remembered her name, I would definitely say it. Mama grew up poor, worked shift work at a factory for 34 years, raised her kids as a single Mother AND had a nerve disease. So lazy, right! This place had no interest in helping her. They just wanted her sent to a nursing home. I got her the heck out of there! One of the best decisions I ever made.

Prison-like. In here with a fractured spine. They bring you unedible food, don't help you sit up to eat it, then take it away when you tell them you can't sit up to eat. In 2 days I've thrown away 6 meals and after a week of Sacred Hearts not feeding me, I'm feeling like it's not healthy to stay here. Update: OMG avoid this place. Lost meals. Mean nurses. Abusive attitudes. Should be zero stars.

Nurses and rehab staff are great but the doctors especially on the weekends don’t care at all saw one for maybe 5 total minutes all weekend. They keep you confined to your bed like a prisoner. It’s rather draconian I’ve never been so depressed in my life I’d give it a negative if I could.
